If you love riding your bike and happen to live in the UK, coming to terms with being at the mercy of the weather, which unfortunately does what it wants when it wants, is paramount to having a good time. This attitude is summed up perfectly in this video from our mate in Sheffield, Dave Camus, who clearly shows us that blue skies and dusty trails are not the be-all and end-all of a great day on your bike with your mates.
That just captures what biking is all about...bikes, mates and a good feckin laugh.
Just been up to kielder doing the same thing...its awesome to just let go and forget of everything and just ride and laugh.
I connect with this kind of video so much more than majority of things I see in the (international) mtb media, it could be any/many of the rides I've had and will have this winter! One of the best rides I've ever had was when the clouds opened on us at the top on the hill at Innerleithen and hammered us all the way down. It was like riding a river - a river with berms!
I was there too. Far side was absolutely mental! We were pissing ourselves laughing the whole way down it, it was so ridiculous. My mate came off on a rocky corner but found £2.50 on the floor right next to him so everything was ok
Hahahaha, how fast is that run from 1.12 onwards!! The size of those stumps at the side of the track too, proper nuts. Loved it. can`t wait to go out tomorrow now!!!!
CANNOT WAIT to get out n about on Gisburn, Cockhills, Dalby etc soon as it heals.....
And as above, yes this is EXACTLY my ethos of a good bike ride too
