Update from Chris Akrigg, 12pm PST: Thanks for all the questions guys, sorry I wasn't able to get to all of them. I'm off to ride bikes now, but I'll try to stop by again later to follow up on a few more.
Six-time British bike trials champ Chris Akrigg may be one of the best trials riders in the world, but you can't pigeonhole him just that one discipline. Over the years, Chris Akrigg has made a name for himself with his self-made video projects featuring bikes of all types and wheel sizes. Creative, confident, calculated - give him any bike and he has the ability to awe.
With the release of his new film '
From There to Here', we thought it would be a perfect opportunity for you to ask him your questions.
How ‘Ask Us Anything' Works: Starting at 10:00 AM PDT/6:00 PM BST on December 3rd you can type your questions for Chris Akrigg into the comment box below this article and he'll have a crack at answering them. Sometimes your answer will pop up in a few seconds; others may take a few minutes while Chris works his way through questions that are popping up. Everyone who posts a question, large or small, will be taken seriously.
To make this go as smoothly as possible, try to follow these guidelines:
• Keep your questions relevant
• Stay focused and to keep your questions on one topic if possible. You can always ask about another item later
• Try to keep your questions to about 100 words
• Ask Us Anything is a service to PB readers who are seeking helpful information, not a forum to broadcast opinions or grievances. If you do have an issue that you want to ask about, no worries, just keep your complaints relevant and in the context of a question so that it can be addressed in a productive manner
• Use propping to acknowledge good (or not so good) questions and bump them up or down to where they belong
Other time zones:
• 1:00 PM EST (New York)
• 6:00 PM BST (London)
• 7:00 PM CET (Paris)
• 7:00 PM SAST (Cape Town)
• 3:00 AM AEST (Sydney, Australia)
MENTIONS: @mongoosebikes
Anyways love ya my man, glad you recovered from your crash.
I've loved every one of them since - keep it up!
High pressure on air springs and normal compression damping?
Or normal pressures but a lot of damping..?
Rebound..?
I can't do similar tricks, so I can't even think how should I set up my suspension to a) even think of doing something similar and b) how the bike would survive such tricks...
Cheers
Also how many pounds of aluminium do you think you scraped off your various frames on the Millstone Grit of yorkshire?!
Probably a lot lad!
another question about equipment: are you particular about rear hubs, pedals and shoes? some mtb's agonize over this stuff and are not doing anything like you are on a bike. do you have special hubs or really high engagement? do you ever break them? anything about the foot to hub interface is welcome. and thanks for the entertainment and inspiration over the years, may you have many more.
in your first clips you used to ride with a cap, what I didn´t really understand because of the stunts you did already back then.
When and why did you change to helmets?
on another note: Of all your movies - 5 I like the most!
cheers
Do these guys ride much anymore?
Fan of you since 2010.
I ride on 6 inch travel bike , i don't ride somthing else.
Can i rechive trial technic with them? Or i must buy a trial bike?
Do you have any advice how to get start ? ( i got a bunny hop, wheeli, manual , endo and 180.)
Love you way you mix it up, everything from cobblestone road racing to DH.
Anyway, I know you love Malaga but have you ever tried the rest of Spain?
My mates and I would be happy to show you around the mountains north of Madrid if you haven't been there already.
Check out La Pedriza if you fancy riding even more rock than you're used to!

Love your videos! Keep up the fantastic and exciting work!
Part 2) How do you talk yourself into doing things that you're scared by?
Normally it’s just a confidence thing, as long as you believe you can do it it generally works out, for the most part
My favourite so far is A Hill in Spain, absolutely blew my mind when I first saw it
Cheers!
Greetings!!
So, not necessarily the most scariest, but technically most difficult...
And second, how does it feel being living legend?
Same question for reach.
Cheers
What person do you want to ride with but haven’t before?
Well I’ve never paid to have a lentil on my face....
