 Recently young shredder Gustavo "Guga" Ortiz was seriously injured while training, and the talented Manon Carpenter decided to retire after the weight of the "risk vs. reward" became too much to confidently continue racing - Do you guys ever start to think to yourselves that the danger level and talent level of DH is becoming pretty ridiculous and ever consider hanging it up? If so, what do you do to get your head back in the game and keep pushing yourselves forward to continue doing what you love with such a demanding level of danger looming at every race?

 Mark, other than Mt. Prevost, can you share any of your favourite places to ride on lower Vancouver Island? & do you ever get to ride the techy trails at Hartland bike park?

 Hey Guys, hope your all good. I just watched the Wolrdcup in MSA and i determined that some riders have some sort of wadding plugs in their nosetrils. What is the sense od that? And if it is working well why is the majority not using it?

 World Cup DH is my favorite sport to watch, but I realize it relies on a lot of technology and production to capture the event. Any ideas on how to make DH more spectator friendly, or do you like it the way it is?

 What do you think about another World Cup in the states. Say, Whiteface Mountain. Plenty of gnar for a WC track and 2,500 feet of vertical. Good luck, guys!

 BTW, Whiteface is 1/2 way between MSA and Windham. If not Whiteface, what about at Bootleg Canyon?

 @downhillmike: Whiteface needs to be able to make a bid, pay the fee, and then they have the chance to host it.

 @atrokz: We are trying to make it happen.

 @downhillmike: that would be rad

 Preparation leads to confidence. Obviously you guys prepare non stop. How do you keep up the confidence even if the results may not come each week?......(dang, You just stole my thunder on that question)

 After seeing Rachel's Go Pro at Monte St Anne, Troys Idea has got to become a reality. I had the Idea too but with the ban on Go Pros from the UCI I thought it would be a no go. Now that they are back please do this.

 It's bizarro world and the UCI DH World Cup series is now the UCI UH World Cup (uphill), which one of you would win the race uphill on your downhill bikes?

 Do you guys wear protections other than helmet, goggles and kneepads on your average downhill ride? What are your opinions about neck braces?

 Come ride bikes with me? Would love to show any/all of you some of my local trails, if you show me some skills and tips. Fair trade?

 Question for both:

How do you strengthen your hands? Are there specific exercises that you do on a regular basis?

 Have any of you been to highland bike park? If not you should.

 1 minutes run for the win! Or not...
  • 1 0
 @mollow: That doesn't mean that they have bad trails, in fact it's quite the opposite. And I don't know ANYONE who can make it down the hill in one minute.
