@sewer-rat I hope Pinkbike offers you a marketing position of some sort. I literally log into Pinkbike everyday just to see your latest 12 days of Christmas rendition. Cheers

Got some peatys valves with lifetime warranty, cores stopped working after 2 months with no sealant clogging (seems the rubber in the cores expanded somehow) - filled in warranty form a few weeks back, no response so far. Ace!

I rather like my Peaty's valves - the core tool built into the cap is perfect for tweaking the core. Or replacing it when you bend it, which is what I do far too often.

But if you're a dentist you'd much rather just buy new ones than wait for a warranty, right? Wink

I've been running peaty's valves for few months, somehow snapped a valve core on a ride and it was all stuck in the valve. I emailed them on a Sunday 6 in the morning (kids) not expecting much and by Tuesday had a new valve in my hand.

@mtbikeaddict: valve cores are £3.50 for 4. At that price, I'd rather replace them if they're bent than risk them breaking while out on a cold wet hillside. This conversation has reminded me to check I've still got a spare in my pack...

My mate's pump took the end off my Mk1 valve, I emailed a picture of it and the receipt to them and then a pair of new Mk2 ones arrived earlier this week. They even got the Swiss distributor to send them rather than me have to wait for them to come from the UK.

@korev: Good to know, will send another email!
  • 3 0
 @kernowjoe: Clearly they don't like me :-(
  • 5 0
@korev: You kept a the receipt for a valve???
  • 1 0
Seems like a lot of trouble to go to for a $2 part.

...But I'd probably do the same.
  • 1 0
@rrolly: it was part of much bigger order
  • 21 0
 No thanks, worst sealing ever
  • 5 0
 Peaty's socks.
  • 2 0
Agree...You would be better off with pva glue mixed with glitter
  • 13 0
general consensus here is that today's prize should be "winner gets an empty bottle of sealant"
  • 2 0
I haven't had any issues with it. You can't really use it with a syringe though because of the glitter.
  • 1 1
 Savage
  • 4 0
@vaclavmech: Until the first puncture the glitter will make the trail look like a strip club
  • 11 0
 Peaty's Sheatty Sealant, no thanks
  • 10 0
Ok serious question, how tf is this stuff all worth 313??
  • 1 0
Well, the font is a free download, so it must be printing fees, and freight, and lawyers, and the dental plan for whoever transplanted 'Rim Job'. Kiss the ring. Makes Kashima coat look like a modest upcharge
  • 7 0
Did they modify the sealant since launch or is it still the same stuff that does not seal?
  • 2 0
coming from peaty, i supposed it was a beer... but these pack will be just fine too... Wink
  • 2 0
Peaty's rebranded goods, now with real bull juice.

  • 1 0
Still rocking 26er. Could use some cleaning supplies!
  • 7 0
You know all wheel sizes clean kind of the same, right?
  • 1 0
I’ll let someone else win this one.
  • 2 3
 You're all a bunch of winners .
  • 10 0
