Nice, thank you Kenda. But if I win can I get the signed jersey, a sharpie and a pair of Maxxis instead?

Get the Kendas and use the sharpy and a Maxxis sticker on those, you’ll have a better performing tire and the Maxxis look.
  • 14 1
Savage haha. But seriously look at kendas new gwin tire. He basically had them make a minion he didn’t need to sharpie.
  • 43 6
Well that sucks for anyone who isn't on Instagram...
  • 5 0
@cougar797: Jokes aside, it looks a decent tire that I'd give a whirl. The WTB tire contest will be 60 tires...or 2 Maxxis.
  • 8 1
@cougar797: frank stacy made G5’s for Bontrager when gwin was on TWR and Gwin has been replicating that ever since. Granted Frank’s done work for maxxis, specialized, Bontrager so it isn’t a Minnion so much as a Stacy
  • 10 9
@usedbikestuff: If only Gwin had stayed with his winning sponsors instead of chasing the money. Ah, what could of been.
  • 2 0
@landscapeben: Ikr, the giveaways are always on Instagram
  • 8 1
Yo, sell the 30 sets of tires and get like $80 bucks. Good deal!
  • 1 2
I bought a set of these gwin kenda tires... one of them had a big wobble in them out of the box. The other one created a big wobble after one not so hard case on a drop. Back to Maxxis indeed.

@50percentsure: eh, that’s like Sam Hill was best on iron horse. I have enjoyed watching both race over the years on all sponsors.
  • 2 0
@DutchRampage: I've seen this happen with Maxxis as well. It can happen to any rubber casing tire........
  • 4 4
Thank you, Kenda. But can it be autographed by a non-Qanon supporter instead? Thanks in advance.
  • 1 0
@scott-townes: hah ask them for 30 26x2.1 tires and sell them to your lbs for mega bucks!
  • 1 0
@scott-townes: yea I have to agree. But also the side walls/cheeks of the tire seem to damage/scratch real easy and leak some air.

Just got a bit disappointed after buying the Gwin tire that didn’t deliver like I would have like it to do haha.

I don't have instagram. Guess I will have to continue to dream about the chance of owning 30 kenda tires.
  • 1 2
You can like this post in Pinkbike too. (Or well, add it to your favorites. For something to be your favorite you have to at least like it somewhat, after all). Tag two friends (as this is the internet I suppose virtual friends do qualify) here and tag @Pinkbike and @kendamtb. Why dream, this could be real!
  • 19 0
@Canadmos: Rules are to be broken. No one is going to tell me how to get my signed jersey. Heck, I'll sign my own damn shirt. I don't need no Gwin to do that for me.
  • 1 0
@vinay: I'll sign one for you then. And you won't have the pleasure of using Kenda tires!
  • 1 0
@Canadmos: Don't be daft. If I want Kenda tires, I'll get Kenda tires. And you sign your own shirt.

[If my tone is disturbing you, I'm sorry. I was trying to be funny. We can still be friends, ok?]
  • 42 0
 Two friends? I wish.
  • 33 0
I'm just happy that Kenda thinks I'm the sort of person that has friends.
  • 3 0
@PhillipJ: Well played sir. Haven't laughed out loud from a comment in a long time. lol
  • 2 0
@Pedal-Bin if I be your friend will you give me a tyre?
  • 1 2
@Curse-of-the-foot-long-sub: Friends don't let friends ride Kendas.
  • 19 2
30 nevegals is like I died and went to hell.
  • 12 0
New or used rubbers? The post is not clear.
  • 18 0
Used rubbers? What is this, Brazzers?
  • 9 1
I live under a rock and do not use ingtasram or whatever they said. Why?!!!
  • 7 1
you're a smart and responsible person!
  • 2 0
@audric: Thanks, Mate! I hope so!
  • 7 0
But you comment on the soul-sucking hellscape that is the pinkbike comment section. I smell a liar.
  • 2 2
@usedbikestuff: That is kind of mean. Why the nasty and downvote? and I like the comment section.
  • 2 1
@rosemarywheel: not a downvote from me. If I were wasting time on the internet I’d take a more positive place than PB comments section. Easier to use than PB
  • 1 0
@usedbikestuff: Oh, sorry about that, then. Shouldn't have assumed. Cheers!

Currently got some Kenda Hellcats tyres on my enduro bike, quite impressed to be honest. Certainly seem to out perform the DHR2 in damp conditions for grip. Not gonna like and share though as thats just marketeerig.
  • 4 0
Yep Took some DHFs off my hardtail and replaced with hell cats. Excellent tyres and the 2.6 is just endless grip on the front.
  • 2 0
Closing in on 1,900km's on my 2.4" Hellkat ATC/DTC that has seen use as a front tire (paired with a nevegal 2 rear) and as a rear (paired with a magic mary front). Very impressed with it, grip is great for a long wearing compound and only have had two or three pinch flats. Nothing like the Kenda tires of old, will be trying the AEC/RSR version for my next set.
  • 8 2
Thanks Kenda, but you're going to have to pry the DHR II from my cold dead hands.
  • 14 0
 1. It’s Pinkbike and the winner won’t actually get them

2. Sell them online
  • 8 4
I'm not going to follow Kenda, and I'm not going to spam any friends with tags.

But I would definitely take 30 Kenda tires, sell them for $25 each, and buy 10 Maxxis tires with that money.
  • 2 1
So you‘d have less tires, that are not as good as the Kendas? Sounds like a smart move...

Kenda’s Hellcat is currently the best tire out there.
  • 1 0
@FuzzyL: really, the best tire available? Based on... What?
  • 1 0
@pnwpedal: On that long series of strictly scientific tests that I personally conducted... Wink

Of course you are right, it’s questionable if there even is such a thing as a “best” tire.

Still, in most conditions I found it to deliver (way) more grip than the DHF and Magic Mary that I used before.
  • 1 0
@FuzzyL: I agree 100%, tire choice is dependent on so many factors... Bike, terrain, rider style/skill/weight, and more. On the West Coast of the US, I would say that the #1 tire choice these days is the Maxxis Assegai. For some reason I don't get along with DHFs either, but the Assegai is probably the best tire I've ever ridden front and rear.

If you read the rules it doesn’t say you get 30 tires it says 30 people will get 1 set of tires? But the add says otherwise I confuse!

  • 4 0
yeah looks like 30 people get 1 set of tires and a jersey, not 1 person winning 30 tires. Definitely a bit misleading
  • 6 0
 But are they 26"?
  • 6 0
You get a Kenda tire of your choice. They surely have 26" tires in their lineup so no worries there.
  • 2 0
What is instagram, Is that a metric thing.....or SRAMs new standard for measuring stuff. And no option to pay 1.99 per month for a subscription to all the contests?
  • 1 0
Kenda even make 20 x 4" tyres too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • 2 0
 Interesting specimen you got there.
  • 1 0
@kbakes: very true! but does it ride ok?
  • 1 0
@audric: it didn't fit on my custom 36 wheel so no, it sucks, do not buy product
  • 1 0
So I can have a jersey I can't wear (fades) and tires I don't want (suck). Cool, here's me not signing up. #whynogwinning
  • 1 0
 Umm shifter on the saddle............ok.
  • 2 0
 Is there a cash option?

 what's your point?
  • 2 0
It's legal boiler plate stuff. The company instagram is not doing the give away.
  • 1 1
 Cool, tires!
