Bike I dusty does better than anyone thanks to covid...but no XC fantasy and a banana costume in the DH. That said, well done to the winner. I'm doing worse than ever this year...

I just scrolled through the article and then realized that it was my team that was in the picture. Then I looked over and realized I lost the tiebreaker. Never been so sad yet so happy to not have won the banana suit.

So what I've been gathering, is the way to win these is picking the winners and then having the best secondary picks you can afford. i was being a dummy and stacking mid pack riders because I thought there would be some kind of weird weighting system that rewarded picking 'low weighted' riders who did exceptionally well given their ranking. meh

so basically next event just amaury and vali and then fill in with randos and cross my fingers?? meh

I think there needs to be an element of both for consistent fantasy sports performance. But overall picking the winners likely trumps picking mid grade athletes that may over perform.

@warmerdamj: Ya, like obviously you can't pick the winners and then just have the most random racers who don't even qualify for finals and such. Or, you could get decent points that way but definitely not winning.

But it seems like... I dunno how the points are weighted but I don't think you can win an event by picking all the best riders EXCEPT the winners, so like second place finishers and the best picks under that. Seems like you have to pick the first place riders and then luck out on the best fill from there. Which is maybe my issue with the weighting... Due to how much the first place riders usually cost... Seems like the lower fill is just a lucky crap shoot. I was keen on my mostly british team that all placed well in Ft Bill and my fantasy score was terrible

@lepigpen: yeah the point gap between 2nd and 1st is too big to make up for with other podium places. Really narrows down the number of winning combinations that are possible. Even if they just reduced the point-gap between the top places, it would make for a much more interesting and strategical league. Would put a lot more value on having an all-round well performing team, which is what your already saying
