not ashamed to admit i shed a tear seeing vergiers reaction. so happy to see dreams coming true due to hard work and persistence. not 'forever second' anymore!

 Up you go
  • + 28
Same here. My wife looking at me like I'm crazy. So happy to see him get one and to see Brook you there too. Feeling a bit gutted for Shaw though. Is it just too much pressure? Would really like to see him get a win as well. Damn I love this stuff!
  • + 44
Seeing Amaury Pierron‘s reaction to him winning was also awesome. Much respect for the both of them.
  • + 26
When you're trying to cry but Amaury and Bulldog blast you in champagne

@skullsph: thx, now whole pinkbike knows i'm a crybaby

Stoked for Loris! Bummed of Luca Frown That track is so incredibly physical! Omg! haha. You could tell everyone was pushing by how many people were getting stood up in the exits of the turns. That happens when you try to brake a bit too late and you end up having to brake again in the middle/exit. You could see it a lot in the last open section right before the trees!

Some stats:
Finn gets his first Elite Podium!
Eddie got his best result with a 9th!
Same with Angel in 13th
It's Brook's first podium since 2015 in Val di Sole

Definitely rare to see Rachel make a mistake like that in the final
Tahnee is crushing the bottom of the track lately. 1 - 1 in sector 4 and 5.

Henry Kerr seems to be heating up. 1 - 1 at sectors 3 and 4

Valentina is Valentina again

Great commentary Eliot... you should do a track walk/analysis with Ben. That would be killer! Make it happen.
  • + 10
Elliot you legend thanks for the stats and i miss seeing you on the wc circuit
  • + 17
Bulldogs results this year coming off that injury. 19,12,6,10,3 It's coming.
  • + 5
@EliotJackson I think you might me the right person to ask this question. I always feel a bit like that there is no empirical basis on that "sector analysis" and the "virtual straight" they show in the broadcast, how do they measure this? I always feelt like this is purely made up so I tryed to spot a transponder or something when I was in Lenzerheide last year, but could not figure how it is done. Does someone know, I´d be really curious about that.
  • + 3
Eliot, when will you be starting your own Youtube channel?
  • + 14
@Smilingtom: Red Bull has their own split times down the track, not sure exactly how many, somewhere around 30-40. So, on the "Sector Analysis" each one of those little heat maps is a Red Bull split time. For the "Virtual Straight", they do it the same way I do my "Race Replay" Visualization. Just animate a line/point at a proportional rate to how long it actually took the person to go between sectors, only instead of having 5 sectors, they have 30.
  • + 5
@COnovicerider: Never haha. Ben does a much better job than I could ever hope to do.
  • + 3
@EliotJackson: thanks for the explanation, it will bring satisfaction for every time I see it in the future
  • + 2
@EliotJackson: Elliot we would still love to see you and Ben doing a break down together. Bouncing some ideas and just different personality off each other would be great! This type of content you guys are putting out is awesome and gives more depth into the racing scene such as you see on sports center. It's awesome! And gives me one more way to waste time with bikes. Killing it Elliot thank you

i love brooks comment to loris at the end - "yeah boy, f*ckin 'bout time". rivals and comrades simultaneously. awesome
  • + 7
Thats one of the many things i love about this sport!!

They need to start fighting at the bottom to cement DH as a true sport.

Yeah Angel!! finally things going good!!
  • + 34
Yes Loris! He always keeps it real and his character/sense of humour is awesome, he's a very likable kid - I feel like everyone is collectively stoked for him. He really showed how much this means to him in the interview straight after, mentioning how crazy the level of the sport is and how 'he could go die now' since he's finally got a win. The frenchies are on fire!
  • + 17
Allways funny to watch Syndicate team videos and ear him talk about bike setups with his mechanic, like he doesnt know the terms so describes everything with sounds: "tsh,tsh,tsh....then...bang,bang,bang and then...tshhhhhhhhhh..."
  • + 5
@miguelcurto: His whistling and Jordi's face is such consistent comedy.
  • + 3
All he need was some Tomac power Wink
  • + 4
I think Kathy is 100% right about Loris. He doesn't know how good he is and once he has the realization he'll be unbeatable.
  • + 29
The look on Minnaar's face when Loris came down with that time was the happiest I ever saw him, he looked even more stoked than when he won the overalls himself, says allot about the man. Seems like he knew then and there that his time would stick.
  • + 2
The Syndicate are like dogs. They are what we need but not what we deserve.
  • + 17
Thanks RedBull. I avoid the internet so I can watch the replay and not know the result. The first f*cking video related to Vallnord is titled Loris Vergier’s winning run. Same with Tahnee. Thanks for ruining the suspense.
  • + 4
This! Always risky trying to find a a no-spoiler link to redbull.tv
  • + 3
YES! This is the first time it happened with me. very disappointed.
  • + 1
Try loading it while its live then pause it and leave the tab/window open. Then when you come back after it's all done it'll automatically load the replay from the start of the pre race show.
  • + 1
 Same here. What the F.
  • + 4
I have to have my wife pull up the page so that I don’t risk Red Bull TV’s spoilers. One time she accidentally put on the last seasons race. I was so confused...
  • + 1
just go to the live events page...
www.redbull.tv/live-events
  • + 2
@rcrdrvr: I was on Apple TV, so had no choice
  • + 1
@bentown: feel ya bro...hate spoilers...three weeks behind on F1...hard to miss spoilers for sure
  • + 1
@IronWheel: My wife (rides and) watches DH too, so have to ask the neighbour... Or RedBull should just not mess up...

(but had a chuckle about your way of working Wink )
  • + 18
Half the runs decided at the top and crashes at the top of the course, no camera. Amazing work!
  • + 10
are you paying for the broadcast?
  • + 6
@ictus: I have no idea why you were down voted. More whinging for a free service that helps grow the sport.

Just don’t watch. It happens in EVERY track based sport (Motocross, Rally, Supercross, F1).
  • + 1
@jamesdunford: A lot of the tracks have big chunks missing in the coverage. Val di sol was pretty disappointing that they showed the first part then it picked up again around 2.30

Would have loved to seen what the heck was going on in that section at the top?
  • + 8
If they'd shown the top bit we would have moaned why they didn't show the bottom bit. It's a bloody long track.
  • + 5
@brajal: even if you would pay a million dollars you would not see the whole couse. you don't even have to be a superbrain to figure that out

40 gallons of metamucil were consumed, a record foul wind was recorded, and the louded female flatulent during a race, thanks you Tahnee,,, best race ever
  • + 7
The riders set off at 3 minute intervals, so it would be impossible to show the whole track. Plus the Andorra race nearly always hinges on the bottom part. I thought the coverage was good
  • + 1
@elbandido77: yes but lets say they cover the whole track but only show the same amount of track time they do now, but they can adjust the broad cast to show the actual deciding sections in replays and update the sections shown as later riders come down and try to bear the faster time.

I know it would be a lot more expensive but it would improove the show a lot.

Get on it Redbull!

Also, a "no risk for spoiler" replay link would be nice with a simple text list of available event replays would be nice.
  • + 1
Why is there always some b**** like you that complains about the free coverage?
  • + 1
@feeblesmith: regarding the replay, just go to RBTV, they're all there with no spoilers.
  • + 6
@ajayflex: I thought so too... but there is an idiot at RBTV who puts down this link on the first page: Loris Vergier’s winning DH run Vallnord...

Thanks whoever you are. I stay off internet, twitter, instagram and Facebook for hours. And then they fark up at Red Bull themselves.

Just put a link named Winning DH run Vallnord, without a name. How hard can it be?
  • + 0
@kusanagi72: Pretty hard for you accordingly.
  • + 15
Great to see Eddie the Eagle flying high today, and the bulldog out barking. Plus Loris with a long overdue and thoroughly deserved win. Awesome race.
  • + 5
 Eddie ‘holeshot’ Masters!!
  • + 1
@JackIsHarris What are you doing up so late bro! Hope your out training this morning.haha Great overall results!
  • + 1
Eddie definitely got the award for most entertaining run,but it would've been close if Estaque had stayed on his bike.
  • + 13
Loris! With gwin away, pumped to see you win with a gwin-like run. A deserving win. And what about the bulldog. That gt must really be a dud.
  • + 9
@russthedog. Served Athertons well to many victories and World Champs iirc. Bulldog is amazing. Bike didn't suit him/new confidence/different routine - who knows. But Fury was hardly a dud. At least statistically.
  • + 15
@kgbdhbiker: true. But Rachel is a freak and would win on a redalp.
  • + 7
@russthedog looks at Danny hart also since he has come off mondraker he is struggling. I’m starting to think that the mondraker is one of the fastest bikes money can buy!
  • + 8
 @Alexhoward91: Mmmm...he's like 5 in the overall? I wouldn't call that struggling.
  • + 2
@Alexhoward91: Yeah Brook won on a Mondraker in 2012. That bike is good. Fabian Barel approved.
  • + 2
@Alexhoward91: he was doing about the same as he is now with the exception of the three wins in a row that came after years of no wins
  • + 5
could be! that thought was always in my mind watching brook, and seeing him do well is making me think about another rider - i wonder what connor fearon could do on a different bike?
  • - 2
Any bike that means full moon the crowd has to be good.
  • + 1
@Alexhoward91: He came 6th overall last year on Mondraker and is still in 5th currently this season on Saracen as far as I know?
  • + 1
@TobiasHandcock: that was brooks first and only wc win. the mondraker, like all bikes has had its hits and misses. also remember, fabien barel approved the kona stab and now the canyon machines.
  • + 12
Anyone else having gremlins With the redbull live feed?
  • + 1
I have the App through my digital TV subscription, but all I got was a 'broadcast starting soon' message. I turned on the laptop and it was playing fine. Kinda annoying when I've got it on a cheap old laptop but can't view it on the big screen through a dedicated app on a TV service.
  • + 1
@gibbon-on-an-orange: it's always starting few minutes after on the app compared to the website.
  • + 2
@zede: even half way through the men's finals is wasn't working. Very frustrating.

Mine started out as German porn and I was like hey this is freaking awesome, then the stupid race came thru.
  • + 10
 Congrats Loris and Tahnee :-)
They are my favorite riders from the new generation.

The French are back for real in DH Racing. That's good news,
  • + 4
when were they ever not there for real in DH racing? I can't remember a time when the french weren't right up there. always been about the french and the brits.
  • + 11
Estaque is a mad man! Awesome to watch
  • + 6
Someone who hasn't been mentioned.... ANGEL SUAREZ!! That dude has had nothing but bad luck and injuries and getting hit with people yelling for him to be thrown off the YT Mob. Stoked to see him put one together and get a real solid result.
  • + 9
So awesome! And I'm very stoked for Angel at 13th. I'm glad YT didn't drop him.
  • + 7
What a great podium. So excited to see Vergier take his first win with a superb run and Brook Macdonald in third. Absolutely loved that race. Oh, and Thomas Estaque is a new favorite with that crazy section!
  • + 3
I felt good watching Loris take his first win. You could see the years of hard work and sacrifice come to the pay off. It must be a good feeling to know that on this day you are the best in the world at your sport. This season is really exciting with all the different newer riders shaking things up. It's not like you're watching to see who comes in second anymore. It's anyone's win up for the taking. I'm also excited to see the results of the fantasy league.
  • + 4
SEAGRAVE!!!!!! I must admit, I thought Rachel was untouchable. So stoked that things are staying interesting in the women's field!
  • + 5
With gwin and minnaar down its gotten really cool to see new faces all over the podium.
  • + 5
Can't wait to see how the young guns stack up when those two get back on course.

Frixthalon cruising down with his cell phone in his pocket. Get him on a team next year!
  • + 2
Yes Loris. It was a long time coming.
  • + 3
 Tahnee killing it!
  • + 2
Changing of the guard in all groups. The young are finding their pace.
  • + 1
In honesty the old school have all but disappeared, and the ones that are left are either slow or injured.
  • + 4
@zyoungson: You could say that, but Gwin is kinda old school compared to these guys. As is Blenki who is still consistent in the top 10. Anybody who raced a world cup at Schladming/Maribor is old school these days.
  • + 2
9th place Kendall! Good job man.
  • + 1
It's gonna be the only World Cup won by the french this weekend! Stoked for Loris though, well deserved!

 @CanBLine: Ah! Sorry mate!
  • + 1
@CanBLine: was she penalized for that?
  • + 3
@anchoricex: Yeah she lost her 4 second lead ,)
  • + 1
@anchoricex: nah, she came to a dead stop just off the track, came back where she left so no DSQ
  • + 2
@anchoricex: She re-entered the track on the same spot,so no penalty.
