feels weird how an 05-06 Cannondale Judge is now considered vintage... I'm still running an M3 of the same era (Y)

I feel bikes of a few years old start to become obsolete such is the rate of recent tech progress, cars get cooler as they're older.. I have an 01 M5 and I love it. Excellent result for Mick, kinda wanted to see Kovarik take it too though..

I'm just now retiring my 03 Giant DH Team, not my choice however. Old bikes are awesome, whether you're fast on them or not!

Metal Fatigue man! Remember doing a race a few years ago and the dude in front of me had a fork fail and separate. He needed some serious dental work after that. Check your welds boys!

The only real jump in geometry, suspension and material development was around 2011. 63 degree head angles, low bottom brackets, carbon fiber, 800 mm handle bars, charger damper, longer reach and that stuff became around 2011 mainstream and still is. No need for new bikes every other year.

97-98 Foes Weasel, the bike's older than I am

I just built up a trail bike around a '98 Marin B17 frame for about £500 and love it! The only way I could see myself being able to afford a full sus, no regrets whatsoever.

Good job Mick!!!!! This has been probably the worst film coverage I've seen of crankworxs I've seen. Too many adds and not enough race footage.

The photo essay was better than the live coverage.
