Our Rider Development Team has grown by 2 new members for 2015!

Together with Intense Cycles, we wanted to support some deserving young, up and coming athletes by acting as coaches, mentors and friends. Piper and Noah Allman of Sooke, BC will be joining Seth Sherlock of Squamish, BC to create our 2015 Kovarik Racing Intense RD team. Our little team will hit the road to most BC Cups in 2015 looking to learn, progress and, most importantly, have some fun while doing it.

We would like to thank these amazing brands for supporting this project:
Intense Cycles, Fox Head, Chromag Bikes, Smith Optics, Five Ten, Evolution Whistler.

The future is bright.

Yes, it is for this young nugget! Piper has shown some significant talent for mountain biking. But it was her fierce little determination that caught our eyes. I know of a few other pretty accomplished female athletes that once had a little (big) dream. Either way, we wanted to offer our support to help her achieve whatever it is she sets as goals.

More on Piper here.

Welcome back Seth! Seth has been working with us through our Rider Development Coaching Program for the past 3 years and he has a bright future in the sport, whichever avenue of it he decides to take. He lives and breathes biking, he just can’t get enough of it and it shows in his progression on the bike.

Noah is a talented rider, trail builder and an aspiring film maker. The mountain bike industry has many opportunities and racing isn’t for everyone. We are happy to have Noah on board to explore his talents in the bike world. Look for his work on the trail as well as behind and in front of the lens as our team's media guy and freerider/ambassador.

Correct me if I'm wrong here. Doesn't kovarik still have the record for the biggest win time wise between first and second. And how long has that stood. Was 2001 or 2002 at Fort bill.

It's good to see a sweet and nice side of Chris and Claire than their normal hucking and drifting with metal music.

Never gets old to see Kovarik drift corners.

Someone please shorten Pipers cables. Mind you, she might be moving to fast to get that done.

What an insane team to be a part of. A touch too much slo-mo on this one but looking forward to see more footage of these kids. I can't imagine a more gnarly mentor.

Great to see the team bumped to three! We've tried to hook up with Chris and Claire, but timing has been bad, but it'll happen... he's only just turned 10 and this video is more inspiration for his fire. For now, it's summer DFX and endless laps for him with lots of time to see kids like Seth and Piper in the park doing their thing. Thanks for working with the kids in a lower key dynamic (i.e. - coaching and training) than just the madness for video and sponsorship.

maybe mr. kovaric ist so deep in his personal comfort zone going with the kids that he does not have to care about body armour. but what about the kids? choosing the wrong line through the rock garden, smash their ellbow or shoulder bad racing career can be over in the blink of an eye. why not wear a neck brace? i smashed myself bad and broke some bones, but without gloves, ellbowguards, hipguards and spine protector things would be much much worse. i really don´t understand this idiotic rebell style , same thing with new school snowboarders railing icy pipes or blazing tree runs without helmet. history knows what happens to the heroic gaulles fighting only with tattoos and crazy hairs against the perfectly organized and armoured roman legions: anihilation. so why not teaching the kids not only to be fast but show some responsibility for themselfs - and others?

way too much slo-mo but those kids have great riding skills... wish that were me!

First comment..... well Mr Kovarik, you may not be the fastest rider on the planet, but when you ride, it is like watching space shuttle ripping all those ruts, rocks, drops, jumps, chutes.... And now, you are going to show how to that to youngsters... Well done Sir!
