 So much hate, and for what? A couple pro athletes, in a sport that doesn't pay shit, trying to make some extra money while having fun? An NZ tour co of sorts obviously paid Barry and Caroline to travel around, do some cool shit, and make a video. Then said co probably paid to get this video on pb, and now a couple rich people will go to NZ, and want to do a tour like this. So what?

Don't understand people being mad at these two for trying to make a living.

 i think the main issue with the video was that theyre clearly a very interesting couple and the video had no depth. it was all flash and excitement, which is great, dont get me wrong. but i think it would have been great to have some commentary from them, or a little insight so we can relate a little better.

 @lyophilization: I think public figures (athletes, artists, politicians etc) are free to share whatever they feel like and don't share whatever they feel is non of your business. Sure you might appreciate some more depth and stuff you can relate to or learn from, but that doesn't mean they deserve hate for not sharing that part. That's probably what @Longroadtonowhere refers to. The holiday pictures you'd show your mom don't tell the complete story either. That's fine, she'll understand. She won't hate you.

I think the video looked fun and inspiring. I think shots of them working out in the gym, negotiating sponsorship deals or attempting to mount a tubeless tire would be out of place here.

 Hi 2017, I want to go Heli DHing, riding my M1, listening to the Chainsmoke soundtrack whilst pretending to be Shaun Palmer. -1997

 Pretty sweet video and you know they're putting in a lot of effort! I liked the pace and the variety-- def made me want to visit New Zealand more than watching Crankworx did. These two are rad humans and it would be better to get more of there personality into the start of each video, instead of a lot of helmet shots.

 I totally agree on a great video of vacation (or Holiday for some) possibilities... I have been there but only got to experience a fraction of that amazing country... Anyhow, I don't understand the confusion and negative responses... Not everything needs a definitive purpose. Yes, it was marketing, advertising, showcasing, and all that stuff but that's what pays the bills. What do you think pays for Pinkbike to be able to provide this service??? I would have never known that some really world class riders rode for Airborne Bikes if not for this video... So it kinda did make a mark.

 @chillaxin: Some local legends rode Airborne. I always thought skills pay the bills, but a strong effort in social media, good articulation, work ethic, and a positive attitude might just take the cake.

 Hmmm, this was weird. Really not sure what to classify this video as? It felt like a very well produced home video.... whatever this is, I think they missed the mark. There is a cool story to be told and both individuals are freak of the freak athletes...

 Agree. Video doesn't seem to have a "purpose".

 @hifiandmtb:

Caroline is an awesome person - but honestly, this is the equivalent of taking ass selfies and posting them on instagram

 Duh! Anyone thinking of somewhere to go on holiday?...
Now thinking about how awesome NZ is?...

Yes = purpose of advertising.

 The hate and envy is strong in the comments. Emperor Palpatine would be proud. They're living their dream....nothing wrong with that. At all.

 Barry, Caroline nice work. Most humans in this word ultimately search for someone who enjoys there company first and foremost. The fact that you both love ridding bikes and do it to the highest level is inspiring to say the least. Great video. I look forward to more in the future! Rich

 This vidmotion (videopromotion) was clearly paid for by Harley Davidson, and New Zealand Travel. To me it seems they just want people to come to New Zealand which by itself is not bad idea., i would love to go, interesting enough to watch, it makes me want to get my wife in the gym so she can shred with me like that...maybe someday

Also in response to "Hansfd" yes unfortunately we are all motivated by our selfish desires to do more, see more, travel more, consume more. It's sad that there are 9 billion people on this planet and we all want more all the time, it seems like we are quickly running out of space and resources...at least some people still care

 I wonder if they got the first song from the fourth phase. Also, seems that Airborne really liked the 2014 trek remedy 9 650b paintjob.

 How can I get paid to go on a vacation like that? No hate here, good for them. The only funny part was them trying to lean those cruisers.
