 Machines For Freedom model is creeping me out.
  • 4 0
 It's not even the person, but the way the model is standing. Seriously, who stands like that?!
  • 18 1
 I saw that model and zipped straight to the comments for my daily dose of entertainment. No disappointments here.

 I was gonna buy my virtual wife a Peloton, but I'm scared of the backlash. So, I'm gonna buy MTB stuff for myself. Woohoo.

 I love the front brake on my MT trail sports and I thought a 2 pot rear was a good idea but it's honestly just weak and feels a little weird. I recommend spending a little more and getting the MT5s.
  • 2 0
 Where are you riding where you find the rear underpowered? I find that the MT Trails are the best brakes I've ever had. Coming from guide RSC and older XTs. I'm 200 lbs and mainly ride the sea to sky corridor.

 @WestwardHo

I recently got the same brake setup on my freeride bike. i put a galfer 223mm rotor on the front and a 203mm rotor on the back. the front is 29" so it sort of balances out where it feels more like a 203 on a 27.5.

basically by running a bigger rotor you can increase power and decrease overheating of the brake, so using a weaker caliper on the rear and a more powerful rotor helps create a balanced brake feel and decrease overheating.

in contrast if you ran a 4 piston caliper on the rear and a 185 rotor you might have a similar amount of power but the brake would be more likely to overheat because the rotor has to work harder and isnt as much surface area to disperse heat.

 @awhite76: as a 235lb dude that spends a lot of time in central CO, the 2 pot xt's are underpowered for me.
  • 1 0
 @gooutsidetoday:
We are talking about the magura mt brakes, of which the 4 piston brakes which seem to have been thouroughly tested to be the strongest brakes, i dont think evem trickstuff are stronger

 carbon floor pump really made of plastic. For the guy that counts grams while pumping air.

 "This item is not permitted to be shipped but is available for pick up in-store. Please allow 24-48 hours for store to store transfers of product." If you are interested in the Devinci bikes and the Spartan is XL only. Waste of my time.
Please only show stuff that the majority of PB members can actually buy.

 This article should say, "Online Deals December 2019 - Items in Weird Colors, or Odd Specs" because everything looked at I can't buy or wouldn't buy
  • 1 0
 FSA combo looked like a great deal but would be much more so if you could select your stem length! For anyone already looking for a 50mm stem, hey you'd get bars and grips pretty much free.
  • 3 1
 Veritable junkyard of good deals. Dropper posts priced what they should be, wow. Happy holidays.
  • 1 0
 I'm confused about the FSA handlebar combo. Why make something in aluminum only to wrap it in carbon? WTH is the point of that?
  • 7 0
 That's why they end up on sale, Gus.
  • 2 2
 Wait.. did someone buy a Fox 36 factory fork at almost $1600? The newest of the new Fit4/Grip2 retail at just over 1K
  • 2 0
 CAD. Calgary Cycles is probably based out of Canada.
  • 2 0
 @gafoto: is your icon flag a lie? -that's very logical of you!
  • 1 0
 @sethius: Negative, but I do live in WA so the promised land of BC mountain biking is not unknown to me.
  • 2 3
 isnt a new Fox factory 36 like $1k? only seen a $1600 fox fork from PUSH..
