Alright so I would guess that these online shops cherry pick whatever theyre trying to get rid of to put in the pb online deals shindig, and I can understand that, its kind of a win win.
I would be interested though in what would come up if someone actually did some sleuthing to find some banger deals, and I bet someone on here is more likely to buy it than this 5% off stuff

Agreed. This edition was a particularly nice mix of things that were were barely on sale at all and complete junk that they can’t seem to give away. Fair enough if the industry is hopping, sales are good, and there aren’t a lot of deals... then maybe the article isn’t merited?

Keep an eye out on Al's Outdoors in Orem, Utah. Their online site often has major sales on bikes and gear, they kind of act as a liquidator for mountain bike comapnies. I just had a friend pick up a brand new Scott Gambler 710 for like $1,500. He's picking it up at their will-call today.

@Ajorda and @Jimmy0 I was thinking the same thing rolling through this list.... I think I may have said out loud; "This is all garbage" and "who buy half finger gloves that mountain bikes..."

 I created a tool for this: mtbbot.com

 @Aleven: absolute game changer.

@BiNARYBiKE: what you don't want to save 8 bucks on some plastic pedals?
  • 3 0
@Aleven: bookmarked. Awesome site. Only thing I'd add would be a email notification if some product goes below some price. I think steepandcheap has that.
  • 2 0
@Aleven: Add Als. www.als.com. They do outdoors sporting goods and are a solid site to follow.
  • 3 0
 @Aleven: you rock man!

Check out MTBDeals on reddit. It's basically what you are describing.

@BiNARYBiKE: yep that 200 dollar (400 off msrp) manitou is junk and isn't a deal at all, and over 2000 off of those Konas isn't a deal at all...

@Kashima: his negative comment is more satisfying than any of these item so I disagree completely.

Man pipe down about the lack of discounts, all shops are out of everything and its selling fast, so why should they discount it
  • 12 0
Because it's a post about deals.

Its an on ramp. Get the traffic moving

Would love to buy that Pond Beaver shirt, but 40 us$ for shipping to Europe c'mon
  • 7 1
GearHub sports in Fernie BC has a damn good deal on 2019 RM Altitude Carbon Framesets. Smalls and Mediums.

Reg price is $3499 CAD
Sale price is $2189 CAD

I ordered my slayer frame from GearHub earlier this year. They’re dope.
  • 1 1
Somewhere at the end of this post it should read, "this has been a paid advertisement by GearHub and their affiliates."
  • 1 0
@swartzie: Oh man I wish! These guys just really did great when I bought my frame and these deals that pinkbike posted always lack.. you know.. deals
  • 2 0
If LB's put decent stuff on sale I might walk in, and buy other shit too... This flogging of crap on a popular site is just an embarrassment to your company where I will never shop.

I like the Online Deals posts. It gives me a good laugh.

I really wish chainlove.com was still around
  • 4 0
Yeah, and PricePoint! Both of them were great! R.I.P.

Anyone have those IXS knee pads and care to comment on how they are? Trail rider here, don't want to take them on and off, will leave them on 100% of the time.
  • 3 0
I have the version without the zip and I love them. I push them down for long climbs, but they're comfortable enough to keep on.
  • 2 0
I have the non zippered version and love them. They are pretty comfortable and do a good job of protecting your knee. I am on my second pair, the first lasted for 3 years before they were damaged in a crash (that my knee was not damaged in so I guess they did their job).
  • 2 0
Loved these with the zipper side. The issue I had was the zipper mech got corroded from sweat and seized up so they became 100% useless with about 1/2 a season in them. I've been wanting to pull the trigger on them again because they were so comfortable but worried it'll repeat.
  • 2 0
I have an older (3 years) version so I cannot comment on this newer one. But the one I have are great! Been wearing them for 3 or 4 seasons now and just toss them in the washing machine every now and then. Totally comfy, never had chafing, and they stay in place assuming you get the strap tension right.
  • 1 0
Trail rider as well. Have tried a bunch, and these are my favorite by far.
  • 1 0
Should have noted I have non zippered version.
  • 1 0
Why are the shop now buttons an image of text? A low resolution overly compressed JPG at that. Looks bad on desktop and worse on mobile.

 Deals?

Hella-mega deals: that Juliana is 5% off dude!
  • 4 0
To be fair, for any XC types, that Manitou is a billy bargain.
  • 1 0
 @dglass: Hella-Super-Mega!
  • 2 0
keep moving folks, nothing to see here
  • 2 0
No strong supply no strong deal
  • 1 0
If they didn't make that Giro in baby robin egg blue - they might actually sell some. Fire that product designer/manager.
  • 2 0
Let us know when the burlier Manitou forks go on that kind of sale!
  • 1 0
Yeah, would literally buy that if I could, what a deal.
  • 1 0
Wow, Manitou more than 66% off … apparently I'm not the only person interested in them, gotta free up shelf space I guess.
  • 1 0
That Kona Process CR/DL is a sweet deal if you're a big boy, otherwise....yeah, slim pickins.
  • 1 0
So is the Operator, if you’re into them. The carbon version comes with adjustable everything: chainstays, flip chips, headset (reach adjust). To me it’s one of the coolest downhill bikes Kona’s ever made, at a great price.
  • 1 0
Is it sad, that, "online deals" is literally my favourite thing? Also this is the worst one yet?
  • 2 0
iXS is offering 20% off on its site use TRIGGER20
  • 1 0
Sweet a fixed seatpost and seat with a completely proprietary mounting standard!
  • 2 3
Should I buy that tool kit? Will literally base it on your votes. I'm a amateur bike mechanic, who would like to fix bikes for money, but obviously people will just bring it to a LBS because they're better.
  • 1 0
What? No Maxxis tires for once???
  • 1 0
More like sparkler deals of the month to me!
  • 1 0
 pinches descuentos pedorros
  • 1 0
10% off is NOT a "deal"..
  • 1 0
Can't say machete without an accent since that dj hazard track
  • 1 0
Perfect, I was just after some fingerless gloves and pedals for $8 off!
