ENTER BELOW FOR A CHANCE TO WIN

What is Pimp My Bike?
Customising your ride is one of the most exciting things about owning a bike. Pinkbike users can now win one of a kind, completely unique prizes that money can’t buy with our new Pimp My Bike contest.
We won't have Xzibit knocking on your door but we guarantee that this prize can't be found anywhere else, apart from winning it here on Pinkbike.

What is the Prize?
For our first time around we’re teaming up with Push Industries to give you the ultimate suspension prize.
You could win a customized Pinkbike Elevensix shock, which will never be available to buy. Ever.

Custom engraved Push Industries shock for Pimp My Bike
Your name engraved here.

You'll also get a brand new product that Push are launching. We don't even know what it is, we just got sent this CAD drawing… but you will get one. You might even get to own one before any of the Pinkbike staff get their hands on it.

Pimp My Bike Presented by Push Industries
Any guesses what it might be?

How are your new kick-ass Push products going to get installed on your bike?
We’re going to get you and your ride to their HQ and they’ll install them—heck you might even be able to help make it in the factory! We’d recommend leaving it to the experts though…

Inside Push Industries
Darren Murphy, the owner of Push Industries, will be on hand to show you around.

Inside Push Industries
Check out all those buttons. The winner will actually get to find out what each of them does... maybe even push one.

Push Industries
You'll be getting a custom engraved shock here, with the PB logo and whatever else will fit on—a money can't buy prize.

Once your shock is built, Push will take you out to their local trails with their telemetry setup and help dial in your bike. They will send you home with a totally dialed bike, and probably a lot more knowledge than you had before.

Pimp My Bike Presented by Push Industries
All of this will be on your bike and by the end of the day; you're going to be able to bore your friends with how much you know about suspension.

When will all of this be happening?
Deadlines for entries are on Sunday, May 29th at 12pm PST. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, June 6th at 8am PST. The dates for when the prize will be redeemed to be discussed with the winner after they have been chosen at random.

Log into your Pinkbike account and hit the button below—that's it.

Man, these are going to look so good on my Raleigh Activator

The activator didn't have rear suspension, that was the 2 and it used an inline elastomeric bumper, which is incompatible with this application. I'm not even convinced you have one...

@pbuser2299: I believe your sarcasism meter is malfunctioning.
  • + 34
I'm gonna stick it in the rear of my Krampus with some gaffer tape.

Would look even better on my apollo...

@Boardlife69: I believe your sarcasm sarcasm meter is malfunctioning.

Would look best on the front of a Whyte JW2

@ROOTminus1: +1 for accurate mtb trivia, there's no excuse for sloppy fact checking

I'll finally be able to tune my SoftRide PowerCurve!

@mi-bike: yet would make me feel better about winning, since I ride a 2004 demo 9, I actually felt kinda guilty about entering, but I couldn't not enter either.

Only if that's a 7.8x2.25 size - and you invite me over. I'll bring plenty of booze. And a roofie, err.....asprin for the hangover ????

They should have a contest to guess the mystery part, pick a winner that way too.

  • + 5
@EastCoastDHer: I hope that's the vector 2, the original vector uses a bespoke elastomer and stem mounted compression shaft, which is incompatible with.... I'll get my coat.

Will the wife go for "well I need to have a new frame for when I win this contest"?
  • + 3
Very good point! hahaha......whoever wins might have to buy a bike worthy of the love
  • + 3
 My very first thought!
  • + 2
My wife actually said. "If you win, are you going to buy a new frame to put it on?" Picture not so happy wife. Cause you keep saying your current bike is all used up. Picture not understanding or believing wife. All I could say was. Well you know. She stomped off.
  • + 13
What? I will win a custom shock, visit US, ride some trails on my just bought bike with sweet setup and I don't even have to kill anybody or sell my kidney for it? Best prize ever!
  • + 11
Will they redesign my Jekyll so I can ditch the dyad and run this unit, please say yes please (sobs into clasped hands)
  • + 2
 www.pinkbike.com/news/cannondale-launches-new-jekyll-and-trigger-first-ride.html

A buddy of mine just bought a 2017 Jeckyll. Sobbing into clasped hands sums up his reaction to the news as well.
  • + 2
@jlobes: ah the new bike looks sweet I on the other hand have the 2015 with the pull shock. Works a treat but no other options to upgrade or tune the shock
  • + 2
@Gremclon: Don't worry I'm sure this will fit like a glove onto my ca.2010 cannondale rize (old soldiers need love ! XD)
  • + 2
 @Gremclon: Sorry, that was unclear.

My buddy just bought a 2017 Jeckyll which has the Dyad pullshock. About a week later CDale released the news about the 2018 with the Gemini, hence the crying.
  • + 9
"We don't even know what it is"? Maybe not EXACTLY what it is, but I think it's pretty obvious where that goes...
  • + 77
Prototype spoke for new wheel size?
  • + 14
@declanmtb: suspension spokes! That's an idea! Maybe not a good one, but nonetheless an idea lol
  • + 51
People people, don't be daft. Don't you see, this is a suspension company. And what do mountainbike suspension companies make?

Right.

Dropper seatposts.

Unlike all these conventional ones which are typically inspired by the office chair, this one is inspired by a much more reliable design. The piano stool. Simply give the saddle (which attaches to that dial shaped mount) a spin to adjust height.

This will definitely take off amongst dirt jumpers and the Looney Tunes alike.
  • + 9
@Bluefire: It goes up your tuchus and that's part of the fun.
  • + 11
Custom WTB handlebar cutter for PadLoc.
  • + 7
it's a new standard's axle. 35 x 350 mm. you know, the wider the tyre, the better the grip, they say.
  • + 6
@vinay: Unfortunately they based their design off of the reverb and are not aware that dropper posts should be static. Boy do I love that extra bit a cushion that reverb gives me while riding!
  • + 6
@hellbelly: it actually locks into your sphincter.
  • + 1
@atrokz: They "Push" it in right at their factory if you are the winner. Please, oh please let me win this one!!!
  • + 1
if you don't know what it is but know where it goes, you'll probably stay safe.
  • + 8
I'd sell my left nut for this.
  • + 29
U still have a left nut, well done!
  • + 9
@Maverickdh00: I'd sell many people's left nuts for this
  • + 6
That's enough guys, someone reading this is likely gonna get there feelings hurt because they dont have a left nut to give. Apparently right nuts are not an option. Is this because right nuts are prized and so no one will give'em up or is it because nobody wants a right nut and so has a much lower value? Or is the left of something always the first to be sacrificed.

Anyway, I want to win!
  • + 22
I lost my left nut to cancer 3 years ago, and it was replaced by a prosthetic. Unfortunately, I believe the restless spirit of my old left nut has haunted its replacement. Perhaps this is my chance to sell it and end the curse.
  • + 0
@h-beck83: Whoever downvoted your comment needs a kick to both nuts...
  • + 2
My left nut is bigger then the right, so its better value.
  • + 0
 Pinkbike, I ... I love you. 3
  • + 7
I really hope someone with an E-bike wins this
  • + 5
More contests should come with engraved prizes or some type of weird personalization. I think it'll lower the likelyhood of the prize ending up on buy/sell. Good Idea!
  • + 6
Legit best prize ever. Fingers crossed! Thanks PB and Push.
  • + 2
I remember when PUSH first opened in Irvine, you could hand Darren your shock and he'd have the next day completely modded out the next day. He was always very nice even when answering stupid questions that he probably had to answer every day. I wish I had more confidence in my mechanical when he told me he was looking for a technician. Would have been an amazing learning experience.
  • + 4
Shit this would cost me a lot of money... I'd have to buy a new bike that deserves such shiny bits. And instead of Xhibit I expect Tippie knocking on my door!
  • + 2
Second picture looks like a fork air-shaft which integrates the top air cap, though I guess it could also be any suspension damper of sort (like, coiled shock - mainly due to the proportion of the elements)
  • + 1
@bankz What's the value in improving the airspring with things like MRP Ramp Control Cartridge? Thanks
  • + 1
@bankz I was thinking along the same lines, as this replacing a fork's air top cap. A way to utilize space to give additional control to the fork?
  • + 4
How is it a prize if you have to go to America? That's torture in itself isn't it lol jk!!

6 entries! I am going to win!!!!!!!!
  • + 1
Man If there's ever a competition i want to win and nothing else it would be this, after making a bike frame for my a level involving some CNC work this would be the perfect progression from the project and would allow me to progress me work and knowledge to an unbelievable level! Please, for once, let me win this one!!!
  • + 3
I'd have to buy a new bike if I won because I sure as hell am not going to put something that nice on a 2008 Glory. Might be time for a GG/DH or some such fancy machine.
  • + 4
is that a pressfit fork dampener?
  • + 4
Going to be funny if whoever wins rides a hard tale.
  • + 3
This is really great advertising. What a prize, good work to everyone involved.
  • + 1
Wonder what point of contest, do not see that will increse the sales of a product that does not exist yet and so easy to enter
Did I miss the part that gave sole of first born child on entry?
  • - 1
Damn! -And I was impressed with the Christmas giveaway this year, now this!?!

Prob won't win, but it's a nice dream to waste 20mins of the company time in a Mon mornig, haha!

---Anybody guess what that new "unknown do-hicky" is?
  • + 2
Anyone know anything about the fork or damper / cartridge they plan to release???
  • + 3
And what if I ride a hardtail?

+1 for this....would have been better if it was a fork prize, suitable for everyone then. Pish!
  • + 19
@riktherider: -1 for this. What if someone rides a rigid bike?
  • - 1
@Skinnyman: true, i also have a rigid and know the woes. How about just through in a bike with it!
  • + 8
 Pimp my unicycle baby!
  • + 7
Simply take a blow torch to it, weld on some mounts, and have push dial it in!
  • + 1
Is it wrong to want to challenge them to make a shock better than my already awesome DHX RC4 Kashima... Accept my challenge and I'll see you in the workshop *sly grin*
  • + 1
Thanks for the chance Push! I've been fighting with the rear shock on my SB66c for a while now, and this would be a big help! Good luck all!
  • + 4
Why cant you and your shock just get along and be friends. Tragic.
  • + 2
I Pushed my left mouse button - its much more responsive now and easier to enter competitions like this.
  • + 3
If only my bike wasnt a hardtail
  • + 3
Do you have to provide your own flights and transport ect?
  • + 1
If an Avalanche cart is around $500, I can only assume that's going to be a $1000 fork cartridge... IE, more expensive than the fork it ends up going in...
  • + 1
I was told it was going to be in the $3-400 area. But who knows
  • + 1
@scary1: Heard the same - Ava stuff is pretty decent but lack of HSC adjustment kills me. Also had issue with damper seating on bottom out bumper. Hope It's a Push Cartridge!!!!!
  • + 1
Oh man! how cool would it be to have this on my Diamondback Option .... it'll be an instant troll-status. Better than my 6C bar! :-D
  • + 1
I really like it when companies do these types of give aways. Great job Push Ind!
New cartridge or hole New fork????
  • + 1
just give me the blue prints, I'll make one with tighter tolerances on my Mazak than that p.o.s. Haas! LoL
  • + 3
Hey man. I pump out prototypes for Ford with 9 micron tolerances all day long on my 3 early 2000 HAAS VF3's. They may not be the most rigid machines but they can and do make quality parts. U just have to actually know how to machine maybe?
  • + 1
@SomeGuy30: plus minus 2 microns! For real! :/ let me know when your Haas can do that all day long! did anyone say ballscrew? Haas won't guarantee those tolerances. Aerospace and satellite communications, its a bitch.
  • + 2
@rlucky82: Actually I worked at an aerospace shop on a HAAS vf6. Making my replacement parts for Boeing. So. Yeah. I do everything that everyone else does on machines 2-5 times more money. Like I said. They aren't as rigid but if used properly they can still make good parts. Just have to know how to machine on the machine that u are using.
  • + 1
Just to add. HAAS now guarantees 3 microns. Just sayin.
  • + 1
 @SomeGuy30: good for you.
  • + 1
Been trying to get Darren to hook his tech up to my bike for a long, long time.
  • + 1
Could I just like, go and get a tour of the machine shop and push buttons?! That'd be awesome
  • + 1
I don't even care that I won't win I am stoked for whoever does such a sick prize
  • + 1
So yeah....who won the contest? I assume it wasn't me cause I haven't heard from anyone at PB or Push but......
  • + 1
As I don't think an 1136 will fit my current frame, this may be the excuse I've needed to justify a new frame!
  • + 1
I wonder if they would be angry if I just asked them to put it in a framed box so I could hang in the wall?
  • + 1
Would absolutely kill to have this on the back of my Trek Slash.

\m/ \m/
  • + 1
I second that! They still haven't come through with a metric 11-6

Yes Push make a shock for slash...
  • + 1
That cartridge probably won't fit a Formula 35 fork. Super contest none the less. And worldwide entry. Kudos to Push.
  • + 3
 Does it work on a 26" ?
  • + 2
I want this more than a powerball win
  • + 2

  • + 1
 @choppertank3e: Cartridge or fork?
  • + 1
Hell yeah. If I won this I wouldn't buy another shock and fork cartridge in my life! Haha
  • + 1
Wonder if they make a ManFu link edition, would also really like to see what their telemetry could do for a plus bike.

  • + 1
What's the biggest size of this shock? because i use a 9.5 inch shock lol
