Incredible how Absalon absolutely smashed Schurter, kind of enjoyed it. Nino was so depleted he even had a serius crash on the last lap. Best race I've seen in a long time.
BTW what happened to Julie Bresset? did she even run?

where can I watch the replay??

red bull tv en la seccion bike

Julie Bresset had some bad injuries last year, always hard to come back at 100%. Top 10 is good compared of what she did this season.

 Pendrel is a beast

A great rider but the fastest two women were in the U23 race.

FYI u23 race a dif track

I didn't know that. Regardless, Neff and Prevot are currently the fastest women in XC.

Prevot and Neff are fast, no doubt. But, if you look at the time analysis, Pendrel absolutely crushed their lap times and went a lap longer as well. On that day Pendrel was the girl and she even won with a wheel change..

I stand corrected. To be honest I didn't see the splits. That's great to hear though.

Wow, almost 2 minute gap for Julien over Nino! That's domination.

I want to see Absalon senior back racing a few Enduros, it's been such a long time now and him vs Graves would be amazing.

Wow, Absalon again?! He is the master of peaking for a specific race.

Nice job on the podium Lea Davidson for the USA Women. Jolanda Neff would at least podium in the Elite race.
  • 1 0
Naah she would have won it easy.
  • 6 1
Guess the fs bike really gave Absalon that little extra edge.
  • 2 1
yeah, I can't help to think who would have won the recent world cup races If Absalon had ridden with the double suspension.
  • 2 0
Would Nino have crashed riding a 29"? I doubt it.
  • 2 0
Nino wouldn't be dominating world cups and have won back to back world championships or that medal in the olympics on a 29er... he's repeated said he doesn't fit them comfortably.
  • 1 0
Yes I know but straight-lining that chunder where he crashed is unquestionably easier on a like for like 29". Especially when you're spent.

And also it isn't a question of comfort. It's the low bar position he likes.

Anyway congrats to Absalon for the World Cup overall, European and World Champs.

So happy for Marco Fontana, great ride to close the season, and what a wheelie at the finish line!

Boom. That's how it's done Simon! Great ride from Malene too Smile

Curious question: Is Liam Killeen still racing in the world cup/ world champs?
  • 2 1
What happened to Pauline Ferrand-Prevot? Mechanical? Crash?
  • 3 0
Yes unfortunately she had two mechanical during the last lap.. (two broken chain). :-( but Jolanda seemed to be stronger than her today. Next year !
  • 1 0
Thanks for the info, 2 broken chains is very unlucky.

What happened to Jenny Rissveds? DNF : (

 Bravo Tanja and Blaža! Proud

So anything more than 12-14 sec back means your getting lapped? How short is that track? Better not have an allergy attack or you get lapped twice.
