What do people think about the points scoring for Crankworxs? I see they have increased the amount of points for Enduro which makes sense for me given how tiring it is and the effort is involved to win but giving the same points for Dual speed & style, Dual Slalom, pumptrack and slopestyle still seems crazy! The pumptrack event is really popular and very competitive but putting it at the same points as slopestyle? It doesn't seem fair. I think they should upgrade slopestyle or downgrade pumptrack to make it fairer. Probably the latter.

FYI points for 2018 are here:

IMO pumptrack just doesn't make for particularly exciting watching. The length of time it takes and the repetitive nature kinda kills it. Anyone remember 4x!!! Now that was exciting.

Slavic and Loron going out in the early rounds cost my Fantasy Crankworx team this year for the men. With Caroline Buchanan out it was always going to be Jill Kitner in the women's but good to see some new faces this year.

 Good result for Blenki

@fracasnoxteam: he wasn't in it, I was meaning his rivals for the king of crankworks did badly in one of their better events

 Heck yeah Kialani! congrats!

On the result sheet Tomas Lemoine has only competed in the finals, is that correct?
  • 2 0
No he competed from the beginning. The sheet is split on two pages and his name appears on the second sheet in earlier rounds.

 is Jill ever stoppable ?
  • 3 0
Probably the best all round female ripper imo. She seems to win everything or at least podium in quite a few disciplines other than a WC DH. Seems she would do well there as well if she wanted/had support???

The WC isn’t worth it for Jill, she makes a ton more $$ racing crankwork and going for the Queen title, with extra stops added, even more so. Prize money alone I think I’m previous years for her has been around $50k a year or maybe more. Then her sponsors and a Redbull athlete, think she does well not having to throw herself down WC tracks @Boardlife69:

She seems like the most consistent rider of all time

@aushred: she can't beat the best. No Rachel, Tracy, Pom Pon... when Tahnee kicks her ass by 10 + seconds in the DH on Sunday you will all see it. Jill would rather be a big fish in a small pond. In case you can't tell, I'm not at all impressed with our "National Champion", and her unwillingness to represent that sleeve on the biggest stage.

@BaldBilly: Still she's picking up the cheques!
  • 2 1
Has Jill ever raced any of the enduro races? It kinda shocks me that she doesn't represent the USA at DH WC races at least a few times a year. Same with some of the EWS stuff. Are there any American females in WC DH or EWS?
  • 2 4
 @Leppah: Not one. Embarrassing.

I wish more racers would follow her example and just do what they want. Nationalist patriotism is overrated and generally unproductive.

@BaldBilly: Are we talking about the same Olympic medallist and WC Champion, Jill Kintner?
She's got a pretty impressive record of wins and medals, actually. Happy to suggest further avenues for research if you like!
  • 7 0
@BaldBilly: Why are you so down on Jill? She retired from WC a few seasons ago to focus on Crankworx. Jill is doing what she wants to when she wants to and enjoying life a bit more.

@BaldBilly: how about be stoked with what she does race...she's a bad ass!!

 Kinter is killing it
