It's great as I love this track. There are so many people that show up and make it such an incredible experience! - Jill Kintner |
This DH track has a lot of jumps and isn't that technical ... but it's always fun to race. I'm ready and excited. - Anneke Beerten |

I think I've wanted to make a bike movie ever since I saw The Collective when I was 12. Over the past year I've had the privilege of shooting with some of the most creative and hard working riders and builders out there. It was an absolute honour to be able to show everyone the movie last night, and for those who attended the show: thank you. I can't wait for everyone else to see it! - Scott Secco |

Hey, in addition to the upcoming 'Pimp my Ride' series or contest, how about you send one lucky Pinkbiker to Sea Otter next year?
(Does Stumperjumper 27.5 come to mind?) Instead we get stupid shit like ltd. edition anodized trail tools,Ti-hammers,and these retarded ugly ass Fat Bikes!
I think we deserve much better from these companies, considering the $$$$ we put into their pockets!!

Some days I feel young...but irrespective of ageism, my point relates to the over the top coverage of a small local (from a global perspective) event. I understand the historical relevance of the event to North American mountain biking and perhaps the broader global mountain biking community...but this volume of stars and strip waving gets a bit much. Which is perhaps my real point:
Why do americans feel the need to have so many flags waving and shouting 'GO USA' in some sort of patriotic symbolism when you are still in your own country surrounded by your own countryman? I guess it's something to do with defining your social identity ? The flag waving 'group' gives you a sense of social identity: a sense of belonging to the social world? Your social world, not 'ours'...not to labour on about the origins of in group out group theory... flag waving and nationalism throughout the coverage of the great and historic sea otter was getting a bit too much.
But I humbly apologise for offending your 'old' sensibilities ;o)
I'm as into bikes as anyone, but it just wasn't my thing.
