Take a walk down the Royal Fest MTB course with Nico. Multiple lines with lots of over/under options through the woods and opening up to the monster jumps and some interesting new features at the bottom. He has created a masterpiece once again and riding is about to kick off. Lots more riders coming in the next two days and can't wait to see the boys send it!
I can understand the progression from when I was younger. Myself we kept making bigger, better jumps as we improved, then my friend got brain damage, and everyone quit. You kind of have to be, "in the zone" to understand I think, it's kind of like one-up manship, and fun with your friends, but when my friend got brain damage, it was no longer in the fun range, and everyone quit. I just do small jumps, and mess around by myself nowadays.
That's sad to hear man, nobody wants that to happen and head injuries are definitely just about the worst type of injury in my opinion. However, that is no reason for everyone to quit and give up what they are doing, just because it caused them a set back in their life. I believe it is much better to follow your passion and continue doing what you love most than to just give up on it, or hold back. A great example is seeing Remy Morton come from a coma to riding as smooth as ever in 6 months. We need more goal oriented and passionate people like that in this world
Can’t wait to see this footage.
