"Here's my go pro worlds course preview in its entirety that I did with @stevepeat and @claudiocaluori from my @gopro. If you've got half a day to kill check it out. Here, in no particular order is why it's not a winning run and I'm not one to make excuses.
- Firsty it was 7am (6am UK time) which is earlier than I ever got up. - It was my first (second) run down ever. - I had a cold. - The brakes were the wrong way round (NZ style). - Steve kept putting me off. - It was dusty and steep and not easy to see even at the front. - At one point a pack of hungry wild Italian wolves chased me up a tree.
Thanks to @commencalbikes and @georgebrannigan and his mechanic @ryanmfthom for letting me give his bike a damn good hiding. #peatysgotwood" - Rob Warner via his Instagram account
This is is so satisfying, not just because it is so utterly entertaining and the three of them are pure gold together , but because all of us whiny Pinkbikers where actually delivered something we wanted! This is what the industry needs! Haha.
Now that we have achieved this, here's a vote to include Peaty in the commentators box!
I have issues with the CENSORSHIP in the year 2016 You can watch a guy fuk a donkey 24/7 and 2 chicks eating one nasty cup ........, .........................and then sensor uninteligable English slang from git like Warner
Yeah that's some riding many of us can actually relate to! Still faster than most of us for sure, but it makes obvious how much more difficult it is when you lose flow
@Uuno: The worst bit about Rob struggling so much and looking slow is that he is still more naturally capable on a bike than 95% (minimum) of everybody commenting on Pinkbike, he may not be fit and he may be rusty but the simple fact is that track would scare a lot of people into walking their bikes down, let alone riding slowly.
I imagine most 'normal' riders could just never find flow down a track like this, I have visited tracks that on headcams looks fairly ride-able or possibly easy - in real life they are plain scary.....- Looking forward to finals Sunday!
@gcman47: Clarkson = Rob (the controversial loud one), Hammond = Claudio (the one yelling and screaming/doing the hard work) and May = Peaty (the one knowing what he is going on about)
Too bad this wasn't actually Red Bull that listened. Since its World Champs, its actually the UCI in charge, not the World Cup where Red Bull is a main sponsor. Thats why its on the youtube player and not the super awesome Red Bull player.
I think it was so good because he wasn't in shape. In future, he has to be woken up early after a huge bender, given a hot fish milk shake and then forced to go down the course.
Warner for PM...He has maybe done more for British mtb than Peaty because of his loud mouth and charisma. I've been following downhill since the mid 90's and he has always been one of the biggest personalities in our sport. From the days of the Dirt video with JMC to Chainspotting and his notorious parties with Palmer to his commentary on freecaster and now redbull and setting up a successful bike shop in London. Credit where it's due. Although he now gets really scarred riding pro tracks like this he still has skills on a bike. I watched him ride last year at the BDS legends race and have seen him at shows and Fort William wc. The Soho Bikes interviews he does also show a relentless passion for the sport and a slightly more savvy side to his character.
Lmao 3 legends having a boys day out, total respect for them and the crazy animals that run it in anger for their teams and countries !!!! More of this please pinkbike . #dannysdoneit
These guys are jokes! I love watching these Claudio's course previews. Always different and always funny. From the start it sounds like Warner regrets doing this
Fingers crossed
with different camera angles and commentary
