What Would a Holiday in NZ Look Like? Video

 Just returned, could not agree more. If flying from Vancouver suggest buying ticket early to fly direct to Auckland. We did not and flew through Los Angeles, left earlier and arrived at same time as direct flight.We brought sons dh bike, excess baggage rates all over the road, keep weight below 32 kg or you guessed it more charges. Spent about cdn$350. Air NZ had a special bikes 1$ somehow this became 169$ as we were leaving Auckland.
Due to sons broken collarbone at Crankworx plans for South Island cancelled, took in sights of Coromandel instead absolutely fanatastic. Massive thanks to the medical staff at Crankworx and Rotorua hospital for the excellent care our son received.
Rode Redwoods outside Rotorua, very fun.

 Wellington has lots of trails, August is still winter, February is best, December is a bit mad around xmas and new years

 Problem is, my girl still goes to school. So I have to choose her vacations. In february she has only one week off. That's too short to fly from europe.

 Don't go to either of those cities go to Nelson, Wanaka or QT. Go in December if you want an epic summer of biking.
