@Turboute: cannot really understand why so much people can't stand Gee Atherton. Let him be the man he wants to. First he's a pilot and this is WC. Not everyone is Peaty or Ratboy and... Thanksfully !
@GXMV: He doesn't look like he's ever having a good time; seems like the kinda guy who only positively represents the sport with his race results. No one is asking that he be a goof, maybe just act like you enjoy riding bikes and are stoked to be there other than to win.
@GXMV: Id love to say he is just a cock but I'll try harder. I think for me you have villains and heroes in sport Sam Hill, Connor Fearon and Ratboy are my favourite riders bar none. I love the fact fearon is the underdog you can see how hard that guy is pushing win it or bin it, ratboy seems to not give a f*ck and just kills it, and Sam every time he races I just hope he is going to pull out one of those epic runs. Not taking anything away from gee but to me he is just bland and boring. I'm sure you are as much of a fan as me I think you understand where I'm coming from. We can't all hope everyone wins
@Turboute: all right then. Maybe just a matter of WynTV approach after all. to be honest am such a big fan of being stocked. And it's pourring rain. And so rowdy the tracks is. So let the track speak and crown a pilot, whoever he is. Lourdes is miracles capable, are Danny, Sam, LoĂŻc, Gwin, Ratboy and "friends" capable of miracles too ? We'll see tomorow at dusk !
It's my native language and I don't know if Wyn was having a play on words with "Trek" or saying "track". Trek and track pronounced seemingly the same in Wyn's NZ dialect.
WYN for president, Ive been to NZed, and this guy is funnier than terd races on a window.... I love how semi-awkward every rider was with him using a snackrophone....I VOTE WE SHOULD HAVE WYN AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK ON PINKBIKE, OTHERWISE I WILL GIVE UP BIKING FOREVER, THE WORLD WILL CRUMBLE
I don't think that training and preparation has ever been Danny´s problem at all. I assume the issue is rather the head game for him... it seemed like he often overcooked at the very beginning of a run or was riding too aggressive provoking critical mistakes. Especially after his legendary run and all the media´s interest in him he seemed overwhelmed by all the expectations. Performing under pressure might not be his strong suit (yet). This is one of the reasons I'm so impressed with how consistent and mentally strong Bruni is at his young age. He is something else.
I would have my bets on Rat taking the win, but them remember his training consists of driving a canal boat, not getting a hair cut, and building fuck off big jumps in Wales lol legend
Always love watching Wyn! Although we have some humble amazing British riders, why does Gee always come across as suck an ass?!?! He's an amazing rider but the dude needs to get the broom out his ass and connect with the people more. Let's be honest Ratty, brendog or Danny could be super slow and we would all still love watching them and their adventures. Rant over.
Am I the only person who just finds this painful to watch? Like he's trying so hard to be funny and sarcastic and in the end just fails. I skipped half the video only to watch it anyway after someone mentioned Palmers was in it.
Oh man, Danny cracked me up in that interview, properly came across like an old man... 'uhhh rode my bike a little', 'Pwoaaarh. What did I do? WHAT. DID. I. DO?'
I loved it! I want more of this every race. Wyn is funny as hell.
Wyn - for pre-race interviews
Tippie - for post-race interviews
And
McDuff - for product reviews!
Blow my mind with some Review Bazooka!
90% of who he interviewed were limey-no toothbrush types lol and yes I'm counting those from south england aka Australia and NZ. Hilarious. By the way, why do the Athertons always seem like d*cks?!
I don't think I have ever once heard anyone ask for DH to be taken seriously in "wider circles". Exactly what would riders doing Gillette commercials do for the sport?

Gee ftw!
