The real fail here is the polls button
  • 26 2
I heard it was Levy's idea...

views have to be down...frankly hard to watch BS videos with all this going on
  • 11 0
the polls button sucks. please PB, for the love of all things holy get rid of it
  • 8 1
Yeah... I'm gonna need to get paid if you want that data! Wink
  • 6 0
@davec113: We are getting paid - in #Fails. And other content. The real payoff is FF however.
  • 9 0
The best thing is that it's already gone
  • 8 1
As someone who has run ublock origin for years - what is everyone talking about re: polls?
  • 2 0
1:58 ACL has left the chat
  • 1 0
 @flipoffthemonkeys: I don't even see it
  • 67 0
Gah, that crash into the creek was hard to watch. It's so obvious what's coming so far in advance yet it's inevitable.
  • 8 0
I think he got on the brakes pretty good, but yeah that feeling of knowing it's coming is hard to sit through.
  • 2 0
 Yeah man...that´s true
  • 3 6
Yah it’s shear panic of not knowing what to do in a very preventable situation. Let’s the rear end drop hard off the first send. Forgets to ride his bike while panic braking. When he knew the creek was going to happen he needed to just get back on the bike and not let the front end drop so hard.
FF is always full of panic mode riders over their heads.
  • 3 3
@cougar797: Definitely looked like he could have corrected but full on committed to riding in to the creek. he was probably just happy he didn't smash into the rocks. could have also pulled up a bit to drop in to the creek instead of nosing in.... but that would not have been fun to watch.
  • 20 0
@tvan5: Probably fell victim to focusing on what he didn't want to hit (the creek), thereby assuring that he would in fact head directly for it. Your bike goes wherever you're looking, and in those scary moments it's easy to make the mistake of looking exactly where you shouldn't!

It made me shout S!#t loudly in from of my 4yr old, who was too preoccupied with telling me a Lego Star Wars tie fighter pilot was actually Darth Vader (we are Watching "The Empire Strikes Back") I Blame covid
  • 1 0
 @BiNARYBiKE: that's what I thought too dude
  • 3 0
 Also the audience didnt help
  • 3 0
@BiNARYBiKE: definitely target fixation along with locking the back wheel. BTW that is Windrock park in TN if anyone wanted to know.

@greener1: Imagine how God feels, every day.
  • 6 0
 @codypup: That's deep dude.
  • 2 0
@BiNARYBiKE: Been teaching myself this for years. Works for most features, but when the fear hits you... it’s hard to look away from the DOOM!
  • 2 0
How to know you're a Windrock regular....you're more surprised at how clear the creek is than someone wrecking in it
  • 1 0
@chadtague1: Got to see 2 Windrock fails this week! I always have multiple fails every time I visit too
  • 1 0
@cougar797: Red tape will always get you, stick inside.
  • 1 0
Man, he missed the post, he missed the tape, he missed the bridge, he missed the rocks, he done really well to hit the water
  • 2 0
Now I have to ask who has the video of him going in from another angle?
  • 28 0
I love the narration starting at 30 secs... SICK drop ..... to a Big step up ........ahahahachach (massive nose dive) i hope you are ok bud.
  • 11 0
 lmao with that "claudio" version
  • 3 0
3:00 the kid goes for a full "Nothing" and it doesn't go well. The first one is always the one you learn the most from. LOL
  • 2 0
Yeah, whenever the camera goes completely motionless on the ground it’s tough to watch.
  • 6 0
 @DrPete:
I just watch all of the shoulder hits and cringe. I have jacked my shoulders up a few times in crashes and it is no fun.
  • 2 0
@vjunior21: AC Sep on one side, 360 labral tear on the other requiring a scope. I feel your pain.
  • 2 0
 @Gilmarques: Big Grin
That's gold, Jerry!

The kid trying to jump the bushes / hedgerow in front of his house and tipping into the spruce tree was a total win, not a fail. Love seeing kids trying to do silly things on bikes. I did waaaay dumber stuff when I was young.
  • 1 0
 Christmas tree for the win!!
  • 16 0
Most of these weren't as brutal as normal. Looks like people are taking it easy with the coronavirus.
  • 13 0
Say it to the guy ditching at 1:29...
  • 3 0
the bail at 2:25 is a smackdown.
  • 13 0
Soon it'll just be people falling over trying to track stand in their house. Maybe some falling off trainers or stationary bikes too.
  • 14 0
 Never underestimate the deadly mudskorpion.
  • 4 0
@kcy4130: My brother somehow managed to fall off of my trainer and put a hole in the wall
  • 1 0
I suspect that once the human race succumbs to the corona as bot will still be putting out friday fails for the next 10 years with all the clips that have been sent in pre-virus
  • 10 0
Windrock doing its impersonation of Method Mans “bring the pain” this week
  • 9 0
1:50 - Dude's head was working like suspension in slo-mo during that awesome face scrape.
  • 5 0
 MIPS!

Pinkbike poll: what would you chose - stay at home for two more months or go ride and do all fails from this video?
  • 4 0
You devil! that is a tough nut to crack
  • 2 0
@Flunt: hmm, I counted 4 fails that can have problematic consequences
  • 1 0
As long as my collar bones stay intact, I’ll take the fails!!
  • 7 0
1:32... never leaving the ground was probably the safest thing that could’ve happened to that kid.
  • 7 0
1:30 in, that crash was exstream.
  • 4 0
He sure didn't bank on it happening.
  • 1 0
 Pure flow.
  • 3 0
3:07.This guy on the bridge surprised me. I mean, I definitely thought he was going into the water, but nah, that was too obvious. Let's make it across the bridge with with a perfect shit yell then take him out on a couple trees. H*ck yeah that was a good one.
  • 1 0
 That had to be Florida
  • 6 0
HA! Crashing into the creek in front of a Windrock crowd. CLASSIC
  • 5 0
Enjoy them! Next week we'll only have videos of people falling off their indoor trainers.
  • 2 0
Fails from people riding on rollers are quite entertaining
  • 5 0
The biggest fail is "bros" and "pro bros" that continue to shuttle together and smash trails like it's 2019.
  • 5 0
2:43 - "Pinkbike" - Becoming the new WorldStar
  • 3 0
Yelling PINKBIKE! after every crash is now going to be a trend.
  • 1 0
For the fast couple of years now, I've been noticing all the jump landings fails are due to too much forward weight on the front wheel. The landing is either front wheel straight down after the crest or almost an endo on the landing. Is this the trend nowadays instead of keeping the weight back more? I guess it's trendy if you want to be on the Pinkbike Friday Fails.
  • 1 0
Experience and suspension set up. What goes up must come down! If you’r not feeling it don’t do it for the camera!
  • 4 0
Best moment of the week, especially during that boring period.
  • 5 1
Come on people, upper body strength. Do some push-ups!
  • 4 0
This does remind me to start doing push ups.
  • 1 0
@vapidoscar: “To hold on or not to hold on... that is the question!”
  • 4 0
 1:05- understandable
1:13- incomprehensible
  • 2 0
looks like an immediate panic attack and classic noodle arm syndrome
  • 3 0
serious question: how do you stop over-rotating forwards doing a jump?
I'm not anyone in the video, honest.
  • 2 0
I'll tell you as soon as I get the sand out of my ovaries and go for more air.
  • 3 2
lower your rear rebound... lean back more.... dont preload too late.... I struggled with this when i first started riding jumps.
  • 2 0
@chadtague1: i agree with you. It's technique, but your rebound adjustment can be a big factor.
  • 12 2
@MuddyFoxCourierComp - OTB on a jump is most often a result of being stiff in the legs and soft in the arms then being too far back in a static manner doing virtually nothing when hitting the lip. Arms absorb the lip, then stiff legs ride onto it.

You have to learn a proper hip hinge first. Then learn to bunnyhop properly to the height of at least 1 foot. Then you hit a small lip, like sleeping Policeman or a root or sloping rock and try to boost from it to get extra air/ distance. This will improve your timing to hit the right spot when preloading with legs. Finally you can start hitting jumps, preferably table tops. You need to be active on the lip, you need to preload the bike into the lip to balance out forces. Aim for being extended at the end of the lip, most people absorb the lip as an instinctive defense mechanism. It can make you get comfortable on some jumps but it’s a short path to serious diggers if you keep ramping up the speed. It is rather impossible to teach it in a Pinkbike post.

Set up your bike properly, visit Rock Shox or Fox site to find guides how to do it. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR REBOUND just for jumping. Put it where it should be and leave it there!

You can also hit us at RLC online school, we have big success of teaching people how to jump.
  • 2 0
It comes down to this: You can't let your front end drop until your rear end is off the lip.
  • 1 0
 Ask Gee Atherton.
  • 3 0
Maybe next week PB could ask @DJZESTY for a fail comp playlist
  • 2 0
3:20; did the front of that bike just break on landing? That noise did not sound good.
  • 2 0
It is difficult to see in some clips, but it appears PB is working to improve the gender balance in Friday Fails. I like it!
  • 2 0
A real friend does not laugh at a crash until they know the person is okay.
  • 2 0
1:40 Looks like Street Ramp Kid is on a bigger bike now!
  • 1 0
@tmadison12 ...I told you...seeing him again, career progressing.

  • 1 0
3:01. My 7yo that just learned how to jump says, “what the heck who would even do that”.
  • 1 0
Estimate more than half don't properly set up rear shock rebound damper. Ass over bars...lol
  • 2 0
I appreciated the hell out of the bunny hop from the middle of the drop.
  • 1 0

  • 1 0
Only one "you good?" and lots of laughs, some slightly sadistic. A well balanced FF.
  • 1 0
Bunny hop to tail tap was epic.
  • 1 0
Maybe a rebound adjustment is in order.
  • 1 0
Sick Drop to Big Step Up to face plant.

Was that dude looking for Nemo?
  • 1 0
Kid at 1:29 went nyoom to his left
  • 1 0
 Windrock is taking no prisoners.
  • 2 0
That's the great thing about DH racing - it forces you to hit things you would otherwise avoid because people are watching. Either you progress or #FF
  • 1 0
Yeah... Windrock doesn't like people commentating on their videos
  • 1 0
the shadow to the left at 0:38
  • 1 0
 Commit, and look(ahead!)through the landing

  • 1 1
2:51 riding clipped in FTW. Lol
  • 1 0
 Super nothing at 3:00
  • 4 0
I'll preface this by saying "as long as they're not really hurt" , I love seeing kids try and just giver er with no idea what they're doing. It's the pure ignorance of youth ...reminds most of us as ourselves once upon a time...this one at 3:00 and last week's kid with the wooden ramp at 1:08 I laughed my guts out 3-4 times in a row...wear your gear kiddos and keep at it!
  • 1 0
 Love the 1:25
  • 1 0
