Case load was decent this week. Also, fat dudes getting wrecked is 500% funnier than any other people eating shit.
  • 16 5
The "weight challenged" don't seem to do very well on the jumps.
  • 11 0
The guy was yelling at his friends after, “I told you!” He obviously didn’t want to do that section but was told he would be fine.
  • 4 0
uncle nick fails are my fave
  • 12 4
yeah, fat guys for the win this week.

 Fatboy Slam.
  • 1 0
 Gravity. Not your friend.
  • 16 0
@RayDolor: Might be the biggest dude I've seen try to ride a bike. Usually see these fellas with an 80s Harley cruising down some 2 lane highway
  • 8 1
@MorbidlyObeseKoala: looked like ed masters wearing his fatsuit for the fatbike video with him

Fat, fat, fatty fat fat fat f@ckers crashin they bikes!
  • 2 0
I thought he yelled owe my balls
  • 49 4
I respect any fat bro who makes a Friday Fails cut infinitely more than any Cat 1 racer who makes podium.
  • 51 1
 It’s good that he’s riding.
Don’t forget that lot of “slim” guys are not skilled at all on a bike too
  • 1 0
 gravity seem to be biased...
  • 53 2
Great to see any body out there riding and pushing themselves.
  • 2 2
 Couldn’t agree more!
  • 1 2
 Couldn’t have agree more
  • 4 0
his crash landing did just seem like it was a lot softer though
  • 61 2
Really sad that the first comment is picking on someone for not being what you want them to be. More kudos for that guy riding than for your attitude.
  • 6 0
@philalm: imagine if he was riding an ebike too. The Pinkbike comment section would have crashed the internet.
  • 4 2
@PtDiddy: yeah.and actually an ebike will make more sense at the beginning.
Mtb overweight is dangerous on the uphills as well as downhill. Ebike will keep the heart rate in more healthy bounds and will allow the rider to do it longer.
downhill - just don't listen to them buddies lol. Take it slow and easy.

I had to keep pausing and rewatching and each time i laughed harder and harder while its still allowed to laugh at Fat Muthafukers on the internet before the cancel police step in.
  • 5 0
i feel i shouldn't be laughing but here I am
  • 19 18
Where are the moderators to ban these body shaming asses from this thread? @brianpark
Call it cancel culture or whatever you want, bullying on friday fails is still unacceptable. I've had my fair share of wicked slams over the years and am glad nobody rubbed salt in it by blaming my body for it.
  • 2 0
Action Bronson took a mean bail there for sure!
  • 2 1
 he bounced and wobbled....
  • 3 3
What is it so bad they talking about this phat guy bailing? He haleriously hit the ground sumo style. If you find it funny, you find it funny and if you don't uv got something wrong with you or ur also overweight and recently crashed.

@Curse-of-the-foot-long-sub: I find your ability to correctly string a few words together funnier than the clip.

Best face plant of the day goes to the guy at 2:47
  • 26 0
so brutal. you could see it coming as soon as the clip started. going 3 MPH, sitting down. dude had no business even trying that.
  • 2 0
 Absolutely brutal!
  • 3 0
I thought the faceplant at 1:42 while doing mach 3 was more brutal

@freestyIAM: This one made me grimace hard, even more than the nose cases on big ass doubles. Maybe it's cause we don't see the carnage after the rider goes down. They were COOKING.
  • 5 0
@sooner518: I wouldn't have been too surprised had I seen the tip of a shotgun barrel to his back just before he took off.
Everything about his body language said he KNEW he shouldn't be there.
  • 3 0
I never thought I would see a local trail (DTE) on Friday Fails! Yeah, this one was brutal. DTE is a relatively new trail, and it is one of the only trails in the area with high consequence features. It has attracted a lot of new riders, which is great for the sport. Unfortunately, they often bite off more than they get chew. I know the local fire department had to buy a Rokon motorcycle to go rescue injured riders.
  • 2 1
@tuxmek: Thought the same thing. Not local to me, but I've been there once and love that jump. I knew what it was the second I saw that drop.
  • 28 0
0:36 the tension of wondering which one of them was going to stack it!
  • 12 0
They were smart and stuck the worst rider at the back of the line, haha.
  • 27 0
The off camera commentaries are so good this week. "Okay, go over here and then crash"
  • 20 0
The very helpful..."more speed" just as he hits the lip
  • 1 0
 3:18 Bingo !
  • 1 0
 "Shit!"
  • 20 3
I'm not good at hitting jumps, but yanking on your brake right before leaving the lip like the guy at 1:04 doesn't seem like good technique.
  • 17 0
That was the sound of his back tire buzzing the seat, not his brake. Also not ideal for jumping..
  • 4 0
 @gnarnaimo: Or his bum clenching!
  • 6 0
It is however a very „good“ technique to enter the Friday Fails.
  • 18 0
I just love it when some ask if the person is ok before they have even to come to a stop.
  • 14 0
 "More speed are you ok?"
  • 12 0
Need to stop watching these, I will never attempt a gap jump after seeing the carnage here- lol
  • 5 0
I have a rule that I don't watch on Friday if I'm riding over the weekend.
  • 2 0
just pull up. nobody ever pulls up!
  • 12 0
 Absolute unit at 1:23
  • 7 0
Props to everyone out there learning the tough lessons. Some will get back up and move forward while some may decide to improve on other skills. Definitely got a few(many)(most) of those fails under my belt.
  • 8 0
One of the best collections in a long time. So good!
  • 8 0
Impressive distance tossing that fat bike.
  • 8 0
Crash at 3:32 looks induced by E-bike equivalent of whiskey throttle.
  • 9 1
I like watching people crash their bikes. But watching people wreck themselves on road bikes or e-bikes just brings that extra level of joy to my heart.
  • 2 0
Good point and I wonder if thats a common thing with Ebikes? I never rode one.
  • 5 0
3:18 has it all: suspense when the dude's foot comes off, crashing into the bushes, nobody gets hurt, and all of it capped off with maniacal laughter. It's everything I love in a FF clip.
  • 8 0
Dude at 1:27 is my spirit animal
  • 6 0
Is it wrong that I laugh at others pain but really wince when I see a bike being damaged?
  • 4 0
Did the POV bail before running over his buddy at 3:04? Twice in this video, I thought they were taking someone out after they were already down.
  • 6 0
 Lesson: Speed is your friend.
  • 2 1
Watching Friday fails every week has got me wondering how many injuries have been a direct result of the invention of GoPros. So many of these videos feature a guy riding to close to the person in front of them (likely because they are filming) then they either run that front guy over when he falls or crash themselves trying to avoid that him.
  • 2 0
0:59 … are those boat shoes bud?!
3:32 … the ever famous whisky throttle on a motorcycle lol
last … might be my favorite fail ever, just gave up, full on OTB commit there
  • 1 0
That the gallery in the opener sounded surprised by the fail indicates they are prime candidates to be featured in future FF. Either that or they set their friend up and had to carry the act all the way through. The rider's approach had "fail" written all over it.
  • 4 0
Oh damn yo @1:27 my dude is wylin'
  • 27 0
Stoked this dude is out there getting after it. Good on him.
  • 4 0
ah this guy made ma laugh.. that could be me.....
  • 3 0
I think bike fit played a major role on that one...
  • 6 3
Lucky tree! It would not have survived an impact...
  • 2 0
@saladdodger: The PB username is perfect for the "could be me" comment haha. Good on that guy though. I can only imagine the strain on all components. Would be hard to keep your setup together with that much force. You'd have to run like 40 psi with a cushcore.
  • 2 0
 @saladdodger: Your name checks out.
  • 4 0
@2:11 oh you took a tree down...back on your bike!!????
  • 3 0
 I liked that, motivational spectator!
  • 3 1
I have heard, "I told you dude!" From so many friends who have crashed and were angry that I took them on a trail they would have rather not been on.
  • 4 0
Best FF in weeks. 2:48 brought back memories, not good ones
  • 4 0
Fork bottom-out at 1:25 - The challenge is real.
  • 4 0
Dude at 0:56 had a great save
  • 2 0

See uncle ray finally took a fall
  • 2 0
I hope the guy with the Commencal Clash has friends smart enough to cover the L on the top tube with an R and see how long it takes him to notice.
  • 2 0
if your bike "stinkbugs" in the air,
it usually means the fork rebound is too slow,
and rear is too fast. They should feel more matched to absorb and pre-load evenly.
  • 2 0
This might just be my favorite FF yet. Rich, multidimensional, fat, and spicy like a fine wine. Nice work PB crew!
  • 2 0
I’m always surprised by the number of videos taken with a potato. Theses mobile cellular telephones can do better.
  • 3 0
This reminds me, I must do some pushups
  • 2 0
It was cut off, but what that guy in the blue shorts said was "Oooooh, my fat!"
  • 2 0
My boys, 6 and 7 always refer the “sh$&” word as the word used in bike fail videos...accurate!
  • 1 0
I have never seen a crash like the one at :33 sec. It looks like the bike is dragging him down hill and he is helpless to stop it.
  • 2 0
2.21 Yep, that's definitely better bud!
  • 3 0
If that was better, what was the previous attempt like?!
  • 1 0
These videos are usually, what 3-4 minutes long? I never seem able to get past the first 30 seconds. So painful to watch!
  • 1 0
At 0:23 - That Yeti is 100% snapped in half!!! $700 crash replacement-ville. Population, that guy! Been there....
  • 2 0
2.30 guy wipes out. jumps in front of guy behind.
  • 2 0
 Brothers in falls...
  • 1 0
Maybe I shouldn't have watched this since I am planning to go to the bike park tonight!
  • 3 5
The cover photo, also 2:50. This feature is so dumb. Like every other feature in DTE, it's impossible to carry appropriate speed without full on sprinting into it. It's like they tried to copy flow trail design principles for a consistent downhill grade and tried to apply it to a rolling xc track. Nor did they do a good job separating A lines from B lines. The result is janky, dangerous A-lines with awkward entries and exits that you have red-line sprint to clear comfortably
  • 5 0
Have you ridden it? It doesn't require that much speed. You just need to be going more than 3mph like the guy in the video. If you sprint into it you're going to overshoot the landing...

As for the other features at DTE, you have to know how to corner well to hold your speed for the features. Once you can comfortably ride without touching your brakes, everything flows really well!
  • 3 0
Also I have no idea what you're talking about by janky A-lines. I know of only one A-line tombstone on Winn that you really have to line up well for. Everything else is really easy to line up for or avoid...
  • 3 1
If you can't carry enough speed through corners to hit moderately sized tabletops then maybe those features are above your paygrade?
  • 3 0
I partially agree. I'm a pretty solid rider imo and have only been to dte once. I'm sure the more I ride it the faster I would get, but it did seem like a lot of features there you need to be sprinting in to clear them properly. Pesronally for me DTE is a 3 hour drive. (Southside of Chicago). If I'm driving that far, I'd rather go to Brown County with some real DH. DTE was almost too manicured imo. 95% could and is ridden on cyclecross bikes besides that one new loop.

That said, that jump in the video is pretty damn simple...if you can't handle with ease that that trail might not be for you
  • 2 0
@bmied31: DTE has as much elevation as you get in southeast Michigan, to gain speed you can't just let go of the brakes to build speed - which sucks if it's your first time riding a trail. DTE is a flow trail through and through, with as little rock as elevation so it's just been a and jumps and a couple small rock gardens here and there. There's no replacement for gravity and rocks.
I have yet to make it to Brown County but plan on getting down there at some point this summer, I drive down to Cincinnati for work fairly often so I'll take a side trip there. I've heard lots of food things.
  • 1 0
@OpeSorryAbootThat: Makes sense. I’d like to go to DTE again but it’s a haul. That said. Brown county is amazing. Outside of going to the UP like Copper and Marquette I don’t think there is anything better in the Midwest. Check
Out Hobbs Hollow on YouTube for a taste. It’s built by the same people who made Maple hill in kzoo but they have about 300 more feet of elevation to play with
  • 1 0
@bmied31: Ain't no replacement for (Vertical) displacement, that's for sure. I think we do well with what we have in SE Michigan, but we aren't starting with much.
  • 1 0
Legend has it that they were able to make a plaster cast of Mr 2:52’s face, for posterity, from the imprint in the ground.
  • 1 0
Ok, was the dude at 1:00 barefoot or wearing the new Shimano flesh colored SPD Sandals ??
  • 1 0
What the Hell was 2:20 thinking? If he was going any slower his bike would tip over.
  • 1 0
These are great. A mixture of some decent riders going down and some other people who just picked up a bike.
  • 2 1
Fridas fails #126 is the „Ohhh shit“ Edition :-)

As I was watching my wife said "why are you watching something with so much swearing?" Then she started watching and soon started laughing.

I've realized being excited about Friday fails only increases my fail numbers. Karma works in mysterious ways this type of content should not be entertaining.
  • 1 0
Too much speed or too little speed sure can wreck your day.

Something about this week's clips had me longing for old John Candy movies
  • 1 0
 @2:47 - Fully f*cking deserved....

  • 1 0
Yeah, that was a win, not a fail. Not sure how it snuck into here...

@schlockinz: The fact his feet still have skin makes me ok with the clip. That seemed like the best case scenario.

1:30 no trees were hurt in the making of this film !
