Thanks Ben. Despite them losing all your belongings, you still pulled of great coverage as always. Cheers. ????

To think he did all this without his scotch eggs
  • 8 0
@browner: He has his eggs, you just can't see them 'cause he's not wearing his kilt.

Great stuff. Going to need you to come do this on my local trail to get some insight on how to KOM that bitch.

That was super cool of a breakdown! Thanks

Props to the future Mrs C, standing in the cold and doing a brilliant job. Always enjoy these insights, makes me feel almost like I'm there!

 Awesome content as always!

 Thanks Ben!
Enjoying your segments more and more.

So Ben, would you say in general that the outside line is generally faster in the rain?
Would you say that's kind of a rule of thumb?

Dry inside, wet outside?

Aaron Gwin went for the opposite.

@chyu: Aaron Gwin is also a witch. Non magic folk cannot do such things.

@chyu: yes I remember well, thats why I said "in general"

Please say the word huck more. It brought me a happiness I didn't know existed.

Spoiler: Greg Minnaar isn’t inside the tape
  • 1 0
 Yes, apparently so.

All you can hear is suspension & rims being battered, & that’s just one section of the entire track. Best of luck to all the racers, it’s going to be incredible to watch.

Hope your belongings show up soon Ben, thanks for putting out yet another great video. Love the ghosted segments showing the comparison of different lines, keep up the good work.

My guesstimate for the race 1) Loic for the win 2) Amaury for a puncture 3) Finn to crash out

Don’t get me wrong I’m not wishing ill on Amaury or Finn, these are simply my predictions.

The slowmo zoom on Walker clipping in a fraction of a second before taking off down the drop. Marvellous.

Going by that featured segment, Charlie Harrison should win it...

Be nice to see someone like Charlie put it together and take the World Champs sneaky like.

I have not ridden MSA for over 10 years, but, when it rains-which it always does, its a savage beast. This was a great look at what the riders have to go through, respect.

 Loic Bruni's powerful thighs eh!
  • 2 1
On race day, the lines will likely be totally different because the track is changing so fast.
  • 2 0
That was awesome insight. Going to be wild.

Great coverage, it’s like the evolution of Vitals raw
  • 1 1
Has the drop always been babied up with a ramp? Or do they just baby it for races?
  • 1 1
New addition. Likely due to the fact it's world champs and the level is much wider than at world cup levels.

At some point (not sure now) that drop was officially closed except for WC. A lot of wannabes would wreck themselves trying it. That's massive. Even in the winter with about 2m of snowbase you see it sticking out. As years went by, this was becoming almost a drop to flat right into a 90° turn. Last year you could see bikes bottoming out big time at landing. Something had to be done. Leave it as is and they may open it up for the mere mortals...
