Slopestyle hardtails: boring, no interest at all

Dual-sus slopestyle rigs: coolest bikes ever made

I can't explain it, just the way it is.

One 80mm shock makes a whole world of difference

those small short fullys are the universal bike, from tricks around town to half ass downhilling, you can literally do everything except for xc

@transam711 correct, but for some reason 4x duallies are even cooler

@baca262: YES. Like the 2009 Spec SX I wanted so badly

@ADGproductions: I had a white ~2003/4 SX. Loved that thing.

@scotteh: I had a Brodie Nemesis for a number of years when I was kid. Size small, 26 wheels, 100mm rear 130mm front, bars cut to like 710mm. First time I hit the Dwayne Johnson line in the Whistler Bike Park was on that rig, anyone that's ridden it knows you HAUL into that first stepup, quite the experience on that bike haha

@ADGproductions: yes! It was my favourite bike until it developed cracks Frown Now it’s wall art and I’m riding a P.Slope. It’s nice, but not the same.

@baca262: that’s not entirely true, I raced DS in college but to meet the two event school mandate a couple other guys and I would throw long seat post on our DJs and rip some C class XC

@scotteh: Do any modern ones exist?

I can understand all mountain hardtails, even over full sus bikes, but dirt jump hardtails thrash your body so badly over time. Way too rigid in the landings with those hard forks and tires...i didn't even experience that in bmx bikes.

@samdeatley: ouch, you remind me of an adventure of my own, i had a steel dj back in the day with an adjustable travel pike, raised the post, wound out the fork and took a 16 mile round trip. in it's last days, the chainstays were extended as far back as possible and a 888 lowered to 6.5" on it, was a nice ride

 Two things we want:

1.) no auto-start on videos
2.) photos, not videos for bike checks

@naptime: they're actually not using YouTube embedded videos. YT vids generally don't auto-start.

720 stitched is the most perfect looking slope bike ever. i remember seeing tomas genons up in whistler years ago when it was a prototype and i was like thats a cool hardtail WAIT

For me I think it's tied between the Ticket S and that prototype Santa Cruz slope bike from a while back, in terms of aesthetics. With the Canyon I don't like how it looks like a hardtail. Kind of the same thing I didn't like about the Black Market Killswitch.

That GT... loved their older single pivots, like the Sanction, glad to see that architecture sort of live on.

How about the dual slalom bikes? such a wide variety

That all white distortion is pretty fire. Lieb's previous custom painted one was also pretty amazing.
