Respect for 0.30 for the confidence to send this on a Walmart bike.
  • 6 0
Yes! Kid's got skills but needs a proper bike before he really hurts himself.
  • 24 0
Spent more money n wood for the ramps than he did on the bike. I support that.
  • 2 0
looks like an old Specialized Hard Rock ....1999(ish)?
  • 5 0
Kudos for the kid doing it on a full rigid retro bike. If it wasn't for the rear wheel (and maybe the front wheel also) caving in, that wouldn't have been a fail.
  • 14 0
respect for the guy riding clipless and doing CanCan
  • 2 0
Even got the reflector in the front wheel spokes!

"We've got another great batch of fails for you this Friday!"

Unlike last Friday...

@suspended-flesh: If you go to YT directly to see that video, you'd need to sign in. But if you see it here on PB, it's fine without login to your google account. Something's f*cked up with Youtube and Google.
  • 1 0
@CSharp: Yep I am presigned into YT
  • 1 0
@mi-bike: thanks. Was a really good one aswell.
  • 5 2
@suspended-flesh: I get it, they did post a video on their YouTube channel but thry never posted the link last week. That's a fail in my book. We shouldn't have to rely on nice commentors like yourself sharing the link for them.
  • 3 0
@mi-bike: Interesting that you have to scroll back on the homepage to last Friday and it's date stamped the 18th, but it was only posted today (after they saw these comments maybe?). Looks like someone dropped the ball.

ring my bell. well deserved .
  • 3 0
I was just wondering about that ring. Someone cashed in! Big Grin
  • 8 0
Yeah at least it silenced the bell, still don't know what caused the OTB, karma maybe.
  • 10 1
Timber Bike Bell. They're great on crowded multi-use trails.
  • 28 0
And god said, "That bell maketh me angry." and smote the rider.
  • 15 0
@pixelguru: I’ve had equestrians tell me they’re annoyed by my Timber Bell. Makes me love it even more.
  • 8 0
Live by the bell. Die by the bell.
  • 12 0
2:48 is my favorite type of fail. Significant feature, spectacular fail, rider is totally OK.
  • 2 0
A very gymnastic barrel role, baffled by how it happened. Looked pretty smooth though.
  • 2 0
ya man, that was a save in my books.
  • 7 0
There needs to be a weekly award with this vid series, a popular vote for whomever most goes bravely above and beyond the call of "skill set available" on a feature that's blatantly past their ability before they even hit it.
  • 9 0
Hardly a fail at .46 after that sniper took out his tire as he was landing the jump
  • 6 2
If I had been riding and that guy with the bell wrecked in front of me I would have had a hard time restraining myself from breaking out my Sawzall and ending that bell's life. I know, it's the user and not the tool, but I'd likely get in a lot more trouble for sawing that dude up. Although, during my trial I could have my lawyer ring that godamn thing the whole time. It would convince the jury that it was a clear-cut case of justifiable homicide...
  • 16 1
They are truly awful until you come around a blind corner at 15mph and the family you were about to devastate is on the side of the trail waving at you
  • 5 8
@Mtmw: That shouldn't be an issue, because in a multi-use environment you should slow down for blind corners, unless of course you don't care about getting sued when you run down some headphones wearing hiker who couldn't possibly have heard you coming.
  • 6 0
@Mtmw: I'd 100% take my chances rather than deal with that bell for an entire ride.
  • 6 0
 Good bail...Mitch.
  • 2 0
Mm, yeah. I have a slightly different opinion on what makes a good bail.
  • 3 0
I had to rewind that to know that he said M-itch. Mitch was padded for the apocalypse though, so definitely walked away.
  • 2 0
 Gosh darn it, Mitch.
  • 1 0
Love the poorly hidden disdain “…Mitch”
  • 3 0
If dude got clipped back in on the jump that would be extremely impressive. Don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone doing tricks with clips, now we know why.
  • 2 2
.."A trick is something a whole does for money, Michael."
  • 2 0
Dude was trying to dismount before the landing 0:57 - even his buddy thought it was hilarious.
Probably would've been fine otherwise.
  • 3 0
I don't think I've ever seen anyone try and get off the back of the bike mid air before. That was special.
  • 5 1
Most impressive fail I've ever seen at 3:50
  • 1 3
Is that a typo or an attempt at being funny?

 3:18 the bear got him,
thank goodness he had that bell going, otherwise the bear wouldn't have known where to find him.
  • 2 0
All things considered, the fellow @ :53 came away relatively unscathed.

Does anyone know location of 1:38.

And 1:44 - JFC that was horrific - that's a hefty concussion.
  • 2 0
I am not a fan of those vids.. prefer when riders get away with weak knees and a smile...
  • 1 0
PB could charge like 1-2 bucks for FF entry then we could vote on which crash was the best or hardest hit and that person receives the pot for med bills or repairs
Could call it Crash for Cash er sum Wink
  • 1 0
you know you should only be riding dh after thanksgiving. All the stuffing will give you a lower center of gravity but throws everything else off balance-wise lol
  • 2 0
1:06 might have taken the least painful option considering that looks to be a 6 foot drop to (basically) flat.
  • 2 0
Waddayamean flat, there is a wooden ramp for the landing. :-)
Seriously though, street bmx and trial consists for a large part of 6 foot huck to flats on full rigid bikes. Learn to use those pivots called knees.
It would be a nice instructional addon to a field test HTF: Obviously, the testers there are making an effort to bottom out the bikes. Would be cool to see one comparison slomo clip with the same bike but with optimal legwork to absorb the impact.

Maybe I am just landing on earth... since when there are no more POD and VOD on pinkbike front page ?
  • 6 0
Welcome back, we have missed you for the last three years or so. Smile
  • 2 0
2:43 is why I'm still scared to hit that feature, even though everyone says it's super easy. Ha ha.
  • 2 0
You would need to work extremely hard to fail as badly as this. Do the two things this guy didn't: 1. have someone tow you in, 2. commit - you'll be like, "that's it?"
  • 1 0
There was definitely some braking action going on right as they were going up the feature - normally the crashes happen on this feature from folks not resisting the lip and getting bucked.
  • 3 0
@Peter-H: Totally. I've seen people bucking or overshooting it. I am more than confident I can do it, but nerves get the best of me every time I'm about to drop in. Definitely a simple, but intimidating, feature.
  • 3 0
@ 3:15 Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.
  • 2 0
3:18....... I was just riding along.....
  • 2 0
More face plants than a garden centre!!!! hope everyone was OK
  • 2 0
Lots of stem riders on this one
  • 2 0
 Face plant Special Edition
  • 2 0
Dude is doing can cans with clipless pedals...
  • 1 0
Hard to call that a fail when 99% of riders wouldn't even attempt that
  • 1 0
Much like I'm not an engineer, I'm also not a dancing professional. But I'm pretty sure 1:54 is no Cha Cha Cha.
  • 1 0
Wow! Really spoiling us with the "exclusive promo" and giving us the promo code that's valid until... 4 days ago?
  • 3 1
I'd crash too if it meant silencing that bell.
  • 1 0
I love the crash filmed from uselessly far away at 1:28. It has a certain pathos to it, like Breugel's "Fall of Icarus".
  • 1 0
I have so many fail videos of my weiner X and his group I should upload them
  • 2 1
I always hated bear bells on bikes...
Love them now ! Wink
  • 5 0
 What made him crash tho??
  • 10 0
 @BenLow2019: The bell.
  • 1 0
 @tbubier: Wasn't it obvious?
  • 1 0
2.00 would not want to be one of his balls.
  • 1 0
Guy at 3:35 must have permanent tread marks on his nads.
  • 1 0
So many abrupt endings, flat ground taking you down!
  • 1 0
So many nose manuals…that no one pulls off.
  • 1 0
 0.44 His bike farted!
  • 1 0
 Darnit Michael!
  • 1 0
I like the sound of 1:12
  • 1 0
 This week is wild!
  • 1 0
 Darn it Mitch
  • 1 0
