Best case scenario for that last dude!
  • 11 0
 Doomed for exponential failure.

 (videographer breathes heavily)
  • 12 0
Haha, exactly what I was thinking. Who was videotaping, Darth Vader?
  • 9 0
@ismellfish: I was waiting for the red light saber to come out and slice him in half...disappointed...
  • 11 0
@ReformedRoadie: "I find your lack of send disturbing"
  • 1 0
Was like watching the end of the Mike Tyson documentary

Why have the closed captions been tamed down. Add back some more adjectives to the AI engine! It was super funny last week, but much too tame this week. Also, need to build in Google Translate for all the foreign words. - how else are we expected to learn how to swear in a new language?

The framing at 1:35 was perfect with bike and body hurtling across the screen independently and ending with a whimper off screen.

At regular speed looks like somebody just threw a kid and bike.
  • 1 0
I don't normally laugh at these, but this one was special. Replayed it a few times.
  • 1 0
So many beautiful bikes taking awful tumbles this week, makes me want to cry

2:40. I have nightmares of crashing at Bootleg. It's like landing on razors.
  • 6 0
Is it common to ride there with half-shells?
  • 13 0
I do not understand people who ride on razorblades with no pads...
  • 2 0
 That was brutal to watch.
  • 5 0
 is the bike ok?
  • 3 0
Have crashed there and its the worst. I think thats how hamburger is made
  • 3 0
@scitrainer: I don't understand people who ride no pads in general. Occasionally I'll omit arm pads for xc, but even then so many minor falls could have ended rides without pads.

@4thflowkage: I started mountain biking in the early 90’s helmets weren’t even common them. I didn’t start regularly wearing a helmet till 2005. I got knee pads two years ago after a handful of crashes where I cut my knees badly. Most of my friends my age (mid-40s) don’t wear any pads and all of them have been riding since the early 90s.

This week shouldn’t be called Friday Fails but instead Life Altering Friday. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these people never touch MTB again.
  • 11 0
Kid at 0:44 should count as more of a learning experience than a fail. Keep trying it bro.
  • 10 0
Hey PInkbike you should make a Friday fail of all your staff crashes during ride review etc.....
  • 8 0
Damn, is that the same rider blowing up on the cliff drop and the new runaround step up at Blackrock? Please tell me those were same day.
  • 5 0
 Same Day
  • 1 0
@Jared-Grose: Nice work. Hope to see you out there Saturday for the dig.
  • 2 0
Yes! he didn't even stop to put his pump back in his camelbak after the first crash; it's sticking out the top on the second.
pretty funny!
  • 8 0
0:59 and 1:10. This fella needs to lay off the big gaps for a while. Might be the floor pump pack throwing him off balance.
  • 3 0
Ha! I was trying to figure out if that was a floor pump or an umbrella.
  • 8 0
dude at :40 definitely smashed the satan out of his balls.
  • 3 0
He has exercissssedd the demonsss hahaha!
  • 1 0
Judging by the scream, 0:43 was cut early with good reason. I'm thinking leg and ER visit
  • 8 1
How is there such a steady flow of these videos?
  • 11 0
With the saturation of the MTB market I can only expect there to be a stead influx of new cyclists debuting their careers here. The learning curve is rather shallow so PB will be able to entertain us for year to come.

 Dunning-Kreuger effect but with bikes.
  • 21 0
Since there is a steady stream, I ask the aspiring videographers to hold that shot all the way through, let’s be honest, you ain’t gonna be able to save them, keep filming…
  • 7 0
@Arepiscopo: well done. I had to go look up this phenomenon, and you nailed it. I also learned something in the process, win-win.
  • 6 0
@DwaynePeters do you ever look around when you’re out in public? Yah… it’s scary, and some of these people also ride bikes.
  • 7 1
 @nateb: most drive cars
  • 2 0
@jaytdubs: I prefer the Freddy Kreuger effect.
  • 6 0
@enduroelite: yes, horribly. Which is what I am getting at. Look around, the world is thick with daft people everywhere.
  • 2 0
 @jaytdubs: The more you know!
  • 5 0
@SCCC120: Exactly. Check your emotions about your loved ones at home and get the shot!
  • 2 0
@Arepiscopo: Awesome connection. Thanks for that.
  • 7 0
 Dude, Dude...... Dude.
  • 5 0
All these years, adults thinking kids go into the woods to have sex and do drugs...
  • 6 0
Sweet! I made on Friday Fails. 1:22. I can check that off my list now.
  • 2 1
 Made it*

I was so excited while I was watching this sitting on the can this morning that I couldn’t even type a complete sentence.
  • 3 0
 Favorite 2 soundbites:

Dude! Dude? Duuuude... and then, from the guy who but slammed the rock he was trying to pop off of, That huuurt...
  • 3 0
Guy at 3:08 would've ridden away from it if his cables were routed through the headset.
  • 3 0
Of course, that was "butt slammed". Gotta watch my spelling, I know this audience is a tough crowd.
  • 1 1
cant get enough of watching people with $5k plus bikes destroy them and themselves. I thought more expensive bikes made better riders. "come on dad I NEEEED that bike so I can do jumps!"
  • 1 0
Well that's not a good meter though. I messed myself up pretty bad a couple times, an I'm no spring chicken. Both times I was riding bikes that were north of 7k new. way before the price fuckery we see now. I think the more experienced the rider the harder the crash and more sever the collateral damage
  • 3 0
 The opening shot...concussion for SURE
  • 2 0
I passed on that jump when I visited Sandy Ridge. It's lippy and tricky, even for my buddies who are really good jumpers.
  • 1 0
@stalkinghorse: I've seen more people wreck themselves on this jump and Johnny Royale than anywhere else I've been.
  • 1 1
It's not too bad. That whole line is a lot of fun once you get it down.
  • 1 0
@ratpackchad: Oh for sure. Johnny Royale laps are the only reason to go to Sandy IMO though.
  • 1 0
I watched the Remy POV compilation right before this...these are the people who watch what he does and think they can do the same without the associated skill level.
  • 3 0
 Videographer breathing heavily
  • 2 0
Blackrock Mountain Bike Area making a double appearance (same rider) at 0:57 (cliff drop) and 1:09 (The Runaround).
  • 5 0
Thought so! Plus TNT from Sandy makes the opener!
  • 2 0
What the hell he carrying on his back?
  • 1 0
@Danntana78: his bike pump. In case he gets a flat, of course.
  • 2 0
 @Danntana78: Broken off mud guard
  • 2 0
That bootleg canyon one made me wince. That's like falling on steak knives.
  • 2 0
That wrap around that tree 3.33 made my shoulder hurt! ouch!
  • 1 0
Why are so many people attempting huge gap jumps they have no business riding?!??
  • 1 0
Cliff Drop Guy at 1:02 is also failed roller guy at 1:12. Two fails on one Friday!
  • 2 0
What's the cameraman at 3:47 doing?!
  • 2 0
 (videographer breathing heavily)
lol
  • 1 0
I refuse to laugh while watching this as I feel it just invites the Karma Gods
  • 2 0
 3:04, Devinci should warranty that...
  • 6 0
They did! really nice customer service from Devinci. I don't blame the bike at all, I would be curious to see what happen to any bike going right into a log. No bike was ever designed for that. The lower leg on my boxxer bent too, plus my front rim cracked. It was a pretty bad impact, I'm so glad I didn't injured myself.
  • 1 0
@germinois - your grips came off in the crash too??
  • 1 0
Some brutal miscalculations. You’re supposed to go slow through rock gardens and off drops.
  • 1 0
Every week when I watch this I realize kids really should learn how to jump before hitting big lines.
  • 2 0
Speed kills, but who's buying? (Apparently a lot of people, lol)
  • 1 0
Dude at 2.11 is still rolling
  • 1 0
The wood work at 2:30 is pretty awesome. Where is it?
  • 3 0
North Star in Tahoe, that center line is pretty big and intimidating, kudos for him giving it a go
  • 1 0
Nice to see the PB mtb of the year in there at 3:40
  • 1 0
kid at 28s fell like a rag doll
  • 1 0
Today's videos are brought to you by the letter "o"
  • 1 0
I was cheering for the fellow @ :30 - so close to making it.
  • 1 0
Trials riders are tough, but i think that rock won.
  • 1 0
I like videos that make me want to ride. Today the bike stays in the shed.
  • 1 0
The fail to send ratio in minutes shows that success is not on our side!
  • 1 0
Was that last one filmed by a Sasquatch? They may quite a pair.
  • 1 0
I love that Devinci ad at 3:06
  • 1 0
WEIRDEST fails ever. Some real head scratchers in there.
  • 1 0
 95% were people jumping....
