Even a broken dropper post and a plethora of crashed on the final two stages couldn t keep Eddie Masters from the podium.

Already at the forefront of World Cup DH Racing, Pivot Factory Racing is making a strong commitment to the Enduro World Series in 2018 with the signing of Eddie Masters. Masters will be racing both EWS and UCI DH events for the squad, alongside fellow New Zealander, Rupert Chapman. In addition to a full downhill and Crankworx schedule, the team plans to make at least six Enduro World Series (EWS) stops next season.

bigquotesI’m really excited for this opportunity, I'm so stoked to join the team and I can’t wait to get racing under the Pivot banner in 2018!Eddie Masters

Masters is already well known on the gravity scene, placing 3rd at the 2017 EWS stop in Rotorua, New Zealand, and as a consistent top rider in UCI Downhill World Cup and Crankworx events. Masters and Chapman have their choice of Pivot’s strong gravity and enduro range of models, and will be riding Pivot Cycles' new Mach 6 Carbon and Firebird in enduro events and the Phoenix DH Carbon in downhill events.

In addition to Masters, Pivot Factory Racing is comprised of riders Bernard Kerr, Emilie Siegenthaler, and Rupert Chapman. The team is sponsored by Shimano (drivetrain), Fox Suspension, Maxxis Tires, Reynolds Wheels, Renthal (cockpit) Fly Racing (clothing, helmets and accessories), Jet Black (trainers), WTB (saddles), MRP (chainguides) and Industry Nine (hubs).

bigquotesPivot is such an awesome company to ride for and the team is really fun – I’ve built great relationships with Chris and everyone at Pivot over the past eight years and I know Eddie’s character is going to fit right in on the squad.Bernard Kerr

Hope Eddie gets past that 3rd turn at Fort Bill on his Phoenix in 2018. With 2 Kiwis on the team we'll need to change the official pronunciation to "Puvot."

Does Pivot make a Fat Bike? By far Eddie Masters' best video on pinkbike...
  • + 2
They do. Their hardtail is called a "Les" because it's Pivot-less. Their fatbike is called the "Les Fat." The huck to flat in that video is truly amazing.

This could be what Masters needs. A change can be as good as a rest!

Is Pivot a European company? No US riders I can think of is why I ask.
  • + 1
 Nope, they're from Arizona.
  • + 1
They have Chloe Woodruff and Rose Grant, two very quick American women, on their XC team, and a pretty strong set of domestic Enduro racers. They used to have Elliot Jackson but he left for Giant. Seems like there aren't a lot of Americans that are free to sign in Team Rumors threads. Gwin signed for bank, Nico M. followed, and Luca is on Syndicate. Other guys like Ropelato don't want to travel to World Cups. Lack of 'Merican options?
  • + 1
@OriginalDonk: I wonder if they have a domestic us Nationals racer or Pro GRT
  • + 1
He'll it's about time , give us pivot jandals
