Kona Coiler Size XS (Suitable for Kids) Custom Build

$500 GBP
Built this up three years ago from a frame we bought on Pinkbike. We couldn't find a suitable Enduro/Mini DH bike for my son that had air forks and shock with decent components so we did it ourselves. The frame was professionally sand blasted and powder coated solid black, along with new bearings and bottom bracket with new decals applied. The specification is pretty good and been improved over the years. Frame – kona coiler 5" rear travel Bars - Raceface Shock – fox float performance rear shock 2016, 150mm travel with three position switch with lockout to make pedalling easy for kids on the way up Forks – Fox Float RC2 36, 160mm travel Tires – front Magic Mary, rear, Hans Dampf Brakes – Hayes Stroker Ryde Shifter/derailleur – Shimano Deore XT Crankset – Truvativ Hussefelt Crankset, single speed Rims – WTB Dual Duty Hubs – WTB LaserDisk Super Duty Dropper post – SPS 400 Forca Sports Bike is light, responsive and ready for a young ripper to learn on, suitable for DH and Enduro. The bike was serviced professionally last week with new brake pads front and back and gears set up. My son has grown out of it after years of great use, it has been well looked after and maintained throughout this time, will be sad to see it go. Any questions, please let me know. Happy to post at buyers expense throughout the UK.

Yamaha to Launch Their Own eMTB Lineup
I would be interested to know, how many of the haters have actually ever ridden an eBike of any form? They still ride and feel like a mountain bike. As a dirtbike/MX rider they do not resemble, feel or ride like a motorbike in any way. For me the distinction is clear, I have to pedal the bike and do most of the work, the motor just helps me get up the hills a bit faster. eMTB ride and feel like a normal MTB, a bit heavier which I prefer as they track the hill better and feel more planted. I live in the UK so there are zero issues with access, and to be honest very few people even notice the difference.

@ismasan: Yeah have read about Gwin and his MX career, I am referring to the weekend warriors that look like they are about to take their MX bike out, but are actually having aa cycle at their local trail centre.

Rocky Mountain Altitude Powerplay EMTB – First Ride
Lets face it, most DH and Enduro guys are all wannabe MX riders - look at the gear you wear (Full face, Googles, Fox gear etc) and some MTB guys have even started using 'Braapp' which is a total 2 stroke term. So now you can get a bike with an engine for those that can't use a clutch ;) I still ride MX and Moto Enduro but injury has curbed that for me a bit. EMTBs give me bike release and really do make MTB better. Try one before you hate...

Rocky Mountain Altitude Powerplay EMTB – First Ride
What is the issue? I ride MTB to go downhill. I don't have access to chairlifts or cablecars nearby and the local uplift service has stopped running. So I now own an eMTB - Lapierre SX800 and it has made me ride MTB again as I can do multiple laps at Innerleithen without the slog of the uphills. Until you try, you have no idea how good they are. Also, as an MX/Enduro rider I much prefer the feel of the bile, it's heavier and tracks better. They are not going away, in 5 years time most MTBs sold will be eBikes. Why would you not want to have more fun?
