Here is a quick POV video from Northstar California's Opening day. Northstar opened on June 15 for the 2012 summer season. It was surprising because more of the mountain was open for this time of the year.

 Northstar is a lot like Angel Fire, pretty bad ass. I did a chick on the back side off Northstar in the snow.

 we should all just start splitting each others season passes. Give Vail Resorts a hit in their rising costs! Nobody checks the pass. As in when someone isnt using it let a partner use it and split cost 50/50. I know nobody is riding 7 days a week, not even locals

 Vail wasn't the one who made the prices go up, they spiked upwards when the Ritz Carlton was built and the new "sight seeing" gondola was put in. And that was back when they were owned by the people who own Sierra at Tahoe.

 FYI, Northstar was owned by Vail last season as well. Most likely because they had a terrible ski season and didn't make much money.

 Yeah either way, prices being jacked up is no bueno! The park is great, but hasn't gotten any better really. And you cant tell me that with Vail taking over they have nothing to do with price hikes. Ritz Carlton and all that came in because of Vail's ultimate decision in making it that style of ski resort, which only causes prices to rise across the board. Big business and corporate America at its best!

 It was an awesome weekend for sure, especially because my group and I were in the condo directly above the gondola. For those unfamiliar with NS that was their baby run "Livewire" in the video and there is so many more trails out there.

 only problem with northstar is that your legs look like a lizard cause of so much dust plastered to them. Great park tho and i hopefully wish to go to school near there to make it my home mountain!!!!! Big Grin

 I have a chest cam of the full medium line I'll be putting up shortly, so I'm about to get started hitting the big line. Once I dial in the big line I'm gunna make a legit edit of them.
