Video: Sydney, Australia Has Mountain Biking, But No Mountains
Few mountains in Oz, not many with decent trails (and nowhere near Europe or Canada size mountains either). Currently watching all the MTB trails where I am now (Townsville) get washed away after well over 1000ml of rain in the past week!

@captyvatemedia: From Wollongong also (now between Townsville and Brisbane though) so much untapped potential down there and if the Mt Keira proposal gets up, and with GV onky 25 minutes away, the Gong can truly embrace MTB and have some wicked trails (yes, there are already awesome trails but none are technically legal) that will draw in riders from all over (I know of a large number who are willing to travel from FNQ if Keira goes ahead)

RSD Bikes Announces 2019 Line Up
Because shipping to NZ is difficult (ie too hard to organise because hey, its all the way down there) for most people and they cant ship to Oz because apparently Australia is a made up country that was invented to scare the poms into behaving themselves in the early 19th century lol

@SCOTT-Sports: looking at the rest of your range, Spark, Genius and Ransom can all run either 27.5 or 29er wheels..... will the Gambler be the same and will there be an alloy option? Oh and it dont look like a Cube.....they are ugly as sin

@tuumbaq: excuse me for my outdated thinking. Kid? Hardly. Started in this game when half the front running current WC crowd were in liquid form. I am used to the OLD methodology where as if you don't meet sponsors goals, regardless off media coverage, you got dropped or at least copped a pay cut. I dont mean to take anything away from Brendog, he is one of my fave riders, but despite him being an awesome rider, getting tons of positive media coverage (lets leave the armed hold up from Rampage out of this for now) I am from an era when race results are what sponsors wanted. I think it is awesome that Brendog and Gaeten had a missive hand in developing the new Gambler, tge old one (to me anyway) was pig ugly and looking at the new one, looks to me like Scott are trying to have a similar shaped platform across their entire range. Look and compare the new Spark, Genius, Ransom and now the Gambler. All 27.5/29 convertable. Scott have this new multi wheel size on lock already.

26" Fans rejoice: "Twenty6 aint De..........oh.......Flo Payet is rising a Scott 29er.......never mind" Scott is going to have some serious clout this year. As much as I hate to say it, BrenDog needs to knuckle down and start turning some better finishes. Teams usually announce riders in ranking amongst the team in launch videos........and Deano was named before BrenDog so ????‍♂️ Still a kick ass team and cant wait to see the retail price on the new Gambler....and fingers crossed for an allow version because fuck carbon.

Video: Growing the MTB Community in Wollongong
I grew up in the Gong back way back then, it was either rugby league, soccer or netball for the girls. We used to have minimal skateparks and the only riding was either lycra clad or some random BMX jumps we built in the bush. The potential Wollongong has for mountain biking has only just started to be discovered these last 5 years and I am glad to see this. Area has bookoo untapped potential and you can literally ride the mountains in the morning and less than 30 minutes later, be swimming at some of the best beaches in NSW.
