Liv's New SaddlesLiv have been working on new saddle technology for 2016, based on research that shows women tend to fall into two general pelvic positions when on the bike, either a forward, or upright. To determine which category you fall into, Liv have created their own Dynamic Cycle Fit, which involves spinning for two minutes on a bike equipped with Liv's fitting tool saddle. After two minutes of spinning, your tush will leave an imprint of pressure points on the fitting tool, which determine whether you ride in the upright or forward position. From here you can choose either the Contact SL or Contact SLR saddles in forward or upright models, both of which have been designed to relieve the pressure points associated with each riding position.
The saddles are filled with two pockets of what Liv call Particle Flow Technology - really tiny bean bag shaped balls, Liv state that these floating particles should distribute pressure by up to 20 percent and across a more broad area than what regular foam can. The saddle is then covered with a high-density foam padding and incorporates a pressure relief channel down the center. The lightweight performance-oriented SLR retails for $225, and more affordable SL for $110.
We're inside the Mandalay Bay convention center for the rest of the week, see you there, and keep your socks on your feet!

We f*ckin get it already, pinkbike. You want another demographic to sell to and we just have to sit by and get all this shit rammed down our throats for the 1% of mountain bikers that are women, and if we say anything about maybe it being obsessive then you act like we're Hitler reincarnated
