Chain reaction are in the UK, but that does not mean a company will have the same deal open to all countries, for example those Nukeproof Electron pedals are 32% off if you live in the USA or 10% off if you live in the UK.

Most online shops do that. Shop around online and in your physical bike shop. I have found most people will help try match the price anyway unless it's on clearance.

I love to look at these deals so when I find something I want I can be disappointed by trying to buy it and finding out it is not really available or for a different price. I hope many of you have better luck than me. I also want a Pinkbike tee but I am just waiting for a good one. I promise I will buy when this happens.

I own a pair of the nukeproof critical kneepads and can say they are very tough. A little bulky for pedaling but its a dh pad. Saved my knees more than once.

ha ha -- the answer .... not very often.
I have sold several complete bikes to people through the years here on PB but the ones that were complete were bikes that we set up a la carte', cherry pickin' each and every item. I can't remember the last time I sold a bike that was prebuilt, factory spec. Most recent was a 2014 Marin Attack Trail XT9 but, not only was it a demo, we made a few changes from the stock build kit (aka to me, that doesn't count).

What about an article on the struggle of bike shops trying to compete with websites like chainreactions undercutting them. People using shops to get in products so they can see them then buying online at prices the shop cant even get at trade.

Not Pinkbike's fault, welcome to the ruthless world of business. It's been pretty obvious for a few years now that the internet is the way of the future in retail; so innovate or die. Im confused why there is so much hostility towards online bike shops, (maybe I speak for myself) but as a university student with a tight budget shopping online allows me to get better parts for the same as what I would've spent on a lower model at a bike shop. For example, I was gonna buy a Chris king inset on sale online for $190. They were sold out of the color I wanted so I had to buy it from a bike shop....for $320.

That being said, I'm not complaining about bike shops nor do I think they are being exposed to unfair competition. You can't buy service or installation online, often times I'll buy a part online and then go into the shop for smaller supplementary parts or any issues, service etc. Most people (not us pb nerds) prefer to see a 2000 dollar bike in person, and if your not an avid bike geek chances are you need a shop to tell you which part to order and the right size.
