Santa Cruz Hightower Carbon (C) Large Frame 29er It is more or less an 'S' level build with a wheel upgrade. The frame has a few scratches, but nothing significant. Bearings are original but everything is running smooth. Lower link recently re-greased. Drivetrain has plenty of life left. Chain is fairly fresh. The only thing the bike will need in the near future is a new rear tire. Fork and shock have bene recently serviced. Dropper has less than 6 months use. Full spec list below: Frame: C-level Carbon. Red Sriracha Color. Size Large Fork: Rockshox Pike RC 150mm 29er Boost, with Debonair spring upgrade. Also has light/fast rebound tune and custom compression shimstack to reduce HSC and bring it closer to the RCT3 shimstack. Works so much better at my ~165lb riding weight. Rear Shock: Two choices. Either stock Rockshox Monarch RT, L/L tune. OR Manitou Mcleod. Can sell with both for $150 extra. . Handlebars: Race Face Chester, ~775mm width, 20mm rise, 35mm clamp Stem: Race Face Aeffect, 40mm length, 35mm clamp Brakes: Shimano SLX, 180mm rotors front/rear Grips: Ergon GE1 Dropper: X-Fusion Manic 150mm drop Crankset: Race Face Aeffect 175mm length w/ 30T direct mount chainring Shifter: SRAM GX 11-speed Cassette: SRAM XG-1150 10-42t 11-speed Derailleur: SRAM X1 11-speed Wheels: DT350 6-bolt Boost Hubs laced to Easton ARC27 Rims. 28 double-butted spokes front/rear. Front hub has SRAM TorqueCap endcaps (works with Rockshox forks only). Both rims have some scratches, rear has a dent that can make tubeless setup a bit finicky, but does hold air just fine once everything is seated and sealed. Tires: Maxxis DHF 29x2.5WT 3C EXO MaxxTerra Front, Maxxis Aggressor 29x2.3 DC EXO Rear. Aggressor has seen better days and has some plugged punctures. Also have a ~50% worn DHRII 29x2.3 3C EXO I could swap on. I'd argue it grips despite looking more worn, I'll leave that up to you. Will ship at buyer's expense. Can meetup within reasonable distance of Saratoga Springs NY and possibly arrange a hand-off to NJ, VT, CT or MA. Not looking for any trades really. Would possibly consider some 29er tires or parts as a partial trade to knock a little bit off the asking price, but thats about it.

Hubs are DT350 Centerlock hubs. 15mm front and currently 10x135QR rear with a Shimano freehub. One of the great things about DT hubs, aside from the almost zero maintenance required is that you can adapt them to most hub sizes without any tools, just by changing end caps. End caps are about $35. If you pinky swear that your bike has a different rear axle setup, I'll knock some money off. Hubs are in excellent condition, bearings are smooth, no play. Rims have some scratches and cosmetic dings but no dents and are fairly true. The front hub is laced to a WTB Asym i35 rim with double-butted spokes. The rear is laced to a Stan's Flow MK3, also with double-butted spokes. Tires are 26x2.8 Minion DHF 3C MaxxTerra EXO front, 26x2.8 Minion DHR II DC Exo rear. Outer diameter is about the same as a 27.5x2.1 tire, so you can run these on 27.5 bike with minimal geometry change but with tons of extra traction. The DHR in particularly is like dropping an anchor when it comes time to scrub speed. The Pike will fit these tires no problem. The wheels have a full season of use, the tires were only used in the fall. I also have a lightly used Bontrager SE4 I can toss in for another $20. Asking $400 plus shipping for the complete wheel+tire setup. Will consider splitting up if you want just the wheels.

26" Rockshox Pike RCT3. Travel is currently set at 160mm. I also have a custom-machine 140mm airshaft (from before they were selling them) that I can include, or I can swap it in for you for an extra $20. The fork was recently overhauled. The rebound damper sealhead was replaced with the updated, longer-lifespan version and the Charger damper was bled and is performing awesome. The fork saw a couple months of use in the fall after this service and then the oil in the lowers was changed over the winter and the fork has not been ridden since. Steerer tube is cut 7 2/3rd" (195mm). Stanchions are pretty much perfect. There are some scuffs to the lowers, and and some wear on the top caps from wrenches when servicing. There is also a bit of paint missing on the crown from cleaning the fork. Not sure what happened exactly, there may have been a bit of solvent on the cleaning rag I was using.

Used Fox 34 140mm travel Performance Elite Series Fork with FIT4 3-position damper with open mode adjust. This came off a 2016 Liv (Giant) Intrigue 1 Steerer is tapered 1.5 to 1 1/8 and is cut to 190mm / 7.5 inches. Star nut installed, no crown race included. This has a NON-boost 15x100mm axle Tune Code CXZD: 2016, 34, A, FLOAT, 27.5in, P-SE, 140, 3Pos-Adj, FIT4, Matte Blk, 877C/Hexachrome Magenta C Logo, 15QRx100, 1.5 T, 44mm Rake, OE There is some wear to the decals but the stanchions are flawless and I've pictured the worst (but still minor) scuffs on the lowers and on the crown under where the crown race would sit. Note: There is a bit of a "whoosh" noise on the rebound stroke of the fork. I've been told this can happen if there is a small amount of air in the FIT4 damper but the damper seems to perform as expected. All the compression adjustments work and the rebound adjust works fine as well but the knob gets a bit difficult to turn as you get close to the slowest rebound setting (but I can't imagine running the rebound that slow anyways). If you would like an audio or video clip of the rebound noise, please contact me. Would trade for a 140mm or 150mm Rockshox Pike RCT3.

My wife and I are thinking of doing a trip to VBDN in mid-October. How are the trails that time of year?
