@clivem25: It doesn't say specifically in the description, but the reason for having a freewheel in the hub would be... to backpedal. Be a pretty crappy cycling experience if you could not.

Options to spec light wheels. I don't want to buy a bike for a lot of money and first thing I have to get rid of whatever heavy DT Swiss set the product manager could find for cheap.
That, and frame colours that are not grey or black.

@g-42: I disagree, I've bent or wrecked my derailleur getting too close to large trailside boulders in corners, and in really deep rutted trails, neither of which were high-speed situations or plowing of any capacity.
Stashing the derailleur away so it can't be snagged by obstacles or even just bend when your bike falls over after you have pitched it up poorly with a stick to take a photo is a benefit any time.
