The Red Bull District Ride course builders have worked tirelessly at full throttle to finish this unique track on time. In just a few days they have changed Nuremberg’s old city into an amazing urban freeride course. “We’ve been working on the course for three weeks and have now one week to build it up in the city”, says Niko Bössl.
Track designer Aaron Chase guides us through the creative obstacles and gives some hints to what spectators can expect to witness on Saturday afternoon: “It’s the most spectacular mountain bike slopestyle course of the year!”
On 6 September the course builders efforts will be appreciated by the world’s best mountain bike slopestylers. They will hit all five districts and piece together the best run possible. For one lucky rider, it will be enough to take the win at this FMB Diamond Series contest.
For those who won’t be able to watch the event on-site on Saturday there will be a live webcast from 03:00pm CEST / 06:00am PST / 09:00am EST at www.redbulldistrictride.com.

@benreid. I rode this morning before work and the bike shop was slow. Chase is a personal friend that I have known for a while and feel I can give him a hard time. Jani-f*cka gave me a little grief. I cannot do the same? You no ride today and that's why you are fiest
Thank you @Benread and karma sure is a bitch when it comes to misspeling huh @whatthehell? No need to censor my name though, it's not pronounced anywhere near the "f*ck". Since it was my intention to just joke around a bit with fellow bikers, can we just forget this now?
Let's be real, if you were going to get anyone to build something like this you'd choose the Germans. Not 100% convinced about the open loop yet but who knows... it could be entertaining.
Dobbelganger - Jessie Pinkman lol
But seriously thats what us fans like to see, a nice in depth course preview and commentary. Well done Pinkman, I mean Chase!
each rider has a full run top to bottom. no stop and go for every single district. ok, it takes about 30 seconds to get to the 4th floor of the city hall with the elevator but thats it.
Nope, Slopestyle Comps left the Mountain long ago... Dirt == Mountain.
Inflammatory comment #1, there is more mountain in an XC Course than Slopestyle these days.
Not that it's a bad thing, for them to be commercially viable you need spectators in and around the features, not watching select parts of the course on a small screen ala DH or Enduro.
I once saw a pov video of a run at district ride. There was like one drop followed by one feature and then the rider had to go at least 100 meters till the next feature. To get to the last feature the riders had to walk up the stairs of a hotel building just to get to the top. So technically the judges would have to give every single rider zero points on their flow.
Can I be a bit of a grammar nazi? (I'm sorry but it's getting at me). Unique is a digital word. An event is unique or it isn't. It is not 'very' unique or 'more' unique. Dad chat aside this event looks like it'll be awesome.

They ride mountain bikes though! (kind of)
