Silver Mountain is jumping back into lift-served mountain biking with both feet and we have an awesome opening weekend planned! The Silver Race Series gets off to a quick start with 2 of the 7 races happening this weekend, including a 10 minute plus endurance downhill on Sunday that will harness most of the mountain’s 3,400 vertical feet. We’ve got some sweet prizes from Smith Optics, Dakine, REEL Cameras, Terra Sports and even some cash from Northern Peaks Alliance, who will be doing the timing. We have discounted lift tickets for racers, so it’s only $2 more to race than just buying a lift ticket.

Race Details and Registration

Saturday night, Noah’s Loft in the Gondola Village will host the premier of Brandon Semenuk’s Rad Company, this will be an all ages, no cover showing on the big screen! Dads get $15 lift tickets on Father’s day or free scenic rides on the gondola. Bark and Brew, North Idaho’s largest dog friendly brew fest, rounds out the festivities on Sunday with a bunch of dog related fun, plus a microbrew fest and BBQ.

Our trail crew is working 7 days a week in order to get all of our existing trail re-tuned and even open a few new sections. It’s a whole new feel with new trail maps, signage, race series, expanded schedule, rental bikes and a 5 year plan for continued expansion. While the gondola gives access to 3,400 vertical feet, Chair 3 offers a much easier entry to the sport with just 800 vertical feet and a wide variety of trails from beginner to expert only. Whether you’re racing with the pros or riding lift for your first time, this is going to be an awesome weekend.

Hi Scott, I think you'd have a hard time convincing Sean to stop his electrical apprenticeship, he's giving us a hand with a few things though. We don't have any enduro events this season but we are working on some for next season, we have a bunch of new trail going in that will work well for future events.

If the mountain is re-investing in their lift-access mountain biking, they should bring Sean Murphy back on board. Will you guys be hosting any Enduro events this year? There is a lack of local Enduro races in the inland northwest, and it seems to me that Silver wouldn't be a bad venue with most of it's single track accessible via climbing the dirt roads.
