Gwin spent a good amount of time racing moto back before he got involved with riding mountain bikes. In the first episode of his new off-season series with Redbull, he takes it back to riding and training with the moto, giving us insight to not only how he prepares for the coming season, but also his skills on a bike with a throttle. He also proceeds to go full ham on his YT Tues, showing the moto influence in the process.
MENTIONS: @redbullbike
The DH world probably seemed like low hanging fruit to a few privateer moto guys. Moto is a lot more evolved and competative, so jump ship and dominate a newer sport where fitness isn't up to par yet for most of the field.
Freestyle and off-road are the 'low-hanging fruit' for MX guys.
See: Travis Pastrana, Mike Metzger, Cary Hart, Brian Deegan. Heck, damn near every single person in freestyle tried MX but wasn't fast enough(save Pastrana, who coudn't stay healthy or be consistant).
Offroad..see: Mike Brown
The fitness level in today's supercross athletes is top tier.
Pastrana is in a different class - one of the all time greats how dare you even lump him in there.
Ratboy in 2014, no?
I reread. You said podium, not title. My bad.

the question is, is there people like that is "Boss" like Aaron wearing baggy jeans right now? i highly doubt it, if you are sponsored and are top of the sport of whatever activity you represent, you most likely will wear the latest trend out there, look at minnar he also wears skinny jeans.
dont get me wrong i wear baggy jeans
