And a special thanks for encouraging people to wear 2 earbuds and blast loud music while they ride single track. Nothing makes mountain biking more enjoyable than yelling at some tool who can't hear you that you are trying to pass them.
1 earbud, quiet music or nothing at all folks, PLEASE
I saw an edit where the rider wears earbuds... I MUST WEAR THEM ON EVERY RIDE! I CAN'T HELP IT! VIDEO INFLUENCED ME! FULL BLAST!
Sorry, I'm a mindless idiot. Every edit I watch instantly influences me to ride different than how I have been, even if its a blatant advert for headphones. Seriously though, yeah I was hoping to see more of him shredding some epic trails. Keene goes fast good.
Don't worry; I have a feeling that the first-impression slate remains quite clean. No fault of Keene's, but I... honestly can't remember seeing any riding in that video. Just earbuds.
I've ridden some super fun trails in Glentress, and I believe they're just the tip of the iceberg. What kind of stupid video is that? A yogurt commercial?
Is Curtis Keene's dad a VP at redbull or something? Does he have the only good mountain biking sports agent in the entire world? I have absolutely no idea why he gets so much coverage. Seems like a decent dude but come the f*ck on. He's not even a top enduro racer anymore and things like this and that behind the music shite they put out just make me question every decision I've ever made in my life.
Oh dear....shameful Product Placement paired with some of the poorest riding on what looks like a flat calm walking path. This should be removed and the poster should be banned from posting any further garbage on the grounds that this is an awful reflection on the mountain bike scene in Scotland!
On the up side, I must congratulate the creator for finding such dull and uninteresting 'trails' in an area of this great country that is peppered with awesome biking.
I just don't get it. It is beyond me how Curtis has this much support and coverage for his current stake in the sport. Red bull athletes, for the most part, are innovators - have changed the game in one way or another, or simply just have unrivaled skill and domination with in a sport. The ones wearing a red bull helmet seem to always be in the hunt for a win (in any sport) and always near the front - not mid pack. I know people have done their first EWS, as a privateer, and beat Curtis. I have nothing against him, as a person, or an athlete .. But I don't think the sport can flourish if people are given contracts and support based on who they know over their talent and results within the sport. We need to be supporting inovating, hardworking and extremely talented athletes with these big companies so the sport can be pushed and continue to grow. I'm sorry, but the mid pack athlete doesn't push boundaries. Time to smarten the f*ck up and start putting money where it matters. That aside he has his place, the videos are cool and his ability to tell a story is great - I just feel it doesn't coincide with his current platform.
Looks like he made a wrong turn on one of the EWS stages. His results ain't been that impressive this year. Hope he gets back up there in 2016.....yup everyone's a critic
ever wondered what happened with Kurtis and the EWS, he had everything to be a top contender... what was the problem?, was it a psychological thing? the bike? the competition?, I have no clue
Couldn't even find someone with a Scottish accent?
