I'm not very Keene on this video either.

And a special thanks for encouraging people to wear 2 earbuds and blast loud music while they ride single track. Nothing makes mountain biking more enjoyable than yelling at some tool who can't hear you that you are trying to pass them. 1 earbud, quiet music or nothing at all folks, PLEASE

 Was that a parody?

what i do when i ride is put my phone volume up and put my phone in my back pocket and i can listen to music and here good

I saw an edit where the rider wears earbuds... I MUST WEAR THEM ON EVERY RIDE! I CAN'T HELP IT! VIDEO INFLUENCED ME! FULL BLAST! Sorry, I'm a mindless idiot. Every edit I watch instantly influences me to ride different than how I have been, even if its a blatant advert for headphones. Seriously though, yeah I was hoping to see more of him shredding some epic trails. Keene goes fast good.

How they managed to make scotland look sucky I will never know. people of the world this is NOT scottish mountain biking.
  • 26 0
I read "Peebles" and I thought "Sweet, we get to watch him rip apart Glentress and Innerleithen!" Guess not.

Don't worry; I have a feeling that the first-impression slate remains quite clean. No fault of Keene's, but I... honestly can't remember seeing any riding in that video. Just earbuds.

I always wanted to go to Scotland. Until watching this boring video.
Couldn't even find someone with a Scottish accent?
  • 8 0
Having spent a lot of time riding actual mountain bike trails in Scotland, I highly recommend going. Please disregard this video.

I've ridden some super fun trails in Glentress, and I believe they're just the tip of the iceberg.
What kind of stupid video is that? A yogurt commercial?
  • 3 0
Most definitely a jaybird commercial. When there's more scenes showing the product than the action, you know it's an ad

Whatever those headphones are, they def paid for that vid
  • 3 1
Pretty sure he has some Shredz bottle laying around there.
  • 7 1
Whatever those headphones are, I def won't buy them, because they f***d us with that useless vid.

Is Curtis Keene's dad a VP at redbull or something? Does he have the only good mountain biking sports agent in the entire world? I have absolutely no idea why he gets so much coverage. Seems like a decent dude but come the f*ck on. He's not even a top enduro racer anymore and things like this and that behind the music shite they put out just make me question every decision I've ever made in my life.

**some of this may be hyperbole

Oh dear....shameful Product Placement paired with some of the poorest riding on what looks like a flat calm walking path. This should be removed and the poster should be banned from posting any further garbage on the grounds that this is an awful reflection on the mountain bike scene in Scotland!

On the up side, I must congratulate the creator for finding such dull and uninteresting 'trails' in an area of this great country that is peppered with awesome biking.

0/10.

Backside of Cademuir. I ride my cross bike up there. There are some decent trails near there but he wasn't on them.

I just don't get it. It is beyond me how Curtis has this much support and coverage for his current stake in the sport. Red bull athletes, for the most part, are innovators - have changed the game in one way or another, or simply just have unrivaled skill and domination with in a sport. The ones wearing a red bull helmet seem to always be in the hunt for a win (in any sport) and always near the front - not mid pack. I know people have done their first EWS, as a privateer, and beat Curtis. I have nothing against him, as a person, or an athlete .. But I don't think the sport can flourish if people are given contracts and support based on who they know over their talent and results within the sport. We need to be supporting inovating, hardworking and extremely talented athletes with these big companies so the sport can be pushed and continue to grow. I'm sorry, but the mid pack athlete doesn't push boundaries. Time to smarten the f*ck up and start putting money where it matters. That aside he has his place, the videos are cool and his ability to tell a story is great - I just feel it doesn't coincide with his current platform.

 1:30 I'll never get back

Lots of modeling portraits for your Thursday, wish it showed his world class skills...
  • 6 1
Looks like he made a wrong turn on one of the EWS stages. His results ain't been that impressive this year. Hope he gets back up there in 2016.....yup everyone's a critic

I live very close to Peebles and the riding is stunning to say the least, i usually like Keene's videos but this one is terrible.

  • 3 0
how is he's still a paid rider with such crappy results?? think he only broke into the top 15 once. #thinkimprotoo
  • 7 3
Yawn! Redbull called they want their helmet back!
  • 1 0
ever wondered what happened with Kurtis and the EWS, he had everything to be a top contender... what was the problem?, was it a psychological thing? the bike? the competition?, I have no clue
  • 4 1
There was more posing then riding.
  • 2 0
Its funny how people dont like him. The video is realy weak. Shame for Red Bull and Specialized...
  • 3 0

I watched this twice and it sucked even more the second time.
  • 1 0
I feel sorry for you dude, I would actually cry if I watched that piiiiiissshhhh again....
  • 2 1
Apparently he had a lapse in health insurance right before the making of this video.
  • 2 0
Must be a no stunting clause in his contracts, lol
  • 2 1
Dear Pinkbike; By allowing ad's disguised as entertainment you devalue your own website. Think harder.
  • 1 0
thought it was building up to the riding part ..... and then it just stopped. Should have read the comments first.
  • 2 0
hahaha, horrible video...i agree whit devon607, to much posing.....

  • 4 1
 big time garbage
  • 4 2
Love Curtis but this edit had really poor b-roll to schralp ratio.
  • 3 1
If his life is anything like that video is, i feel really bad for him!
  • 3 1
So was that a Jaybird or Redbull video?
  • 1 0
The blatant zoom in at 0:13 could be your answer.
  • 2 1
looks like Curtis like to "advertise" for a country (or region) instead of winning races
  • 3 1
 earphones commercial ??
  • 2 1
How did this get on the home page?
  • 1 0
What was that shite all about ????
  • 2 1
