Top three should have been inverted.

they added the score of several runs i belive. Thelander didn't have the best single run score but overall the best

I really hope two flipwhips didn't win it, haha. But yeah as some people have already pointed out... DOUBLE FRONT? Why is that not being hyped up? WTF... damn did they live stream it this year? If I remember right they did it last year and it was pretty tight.

the second flip whip from Thelander was oppo also

 double FRONT FLIP GUYYYS !???!?!?!
  • 6 1
Based on what was shown, that's absolutely right Boogie. Awesome name by the way!

Double front was tight. How about that cliff flip? Or super to dub pendulum flip?

In Thealander's defense he did do a 3-whip of the drop which I don't think I've seen before (the guy in third did a regular whip) and an oppo flip whip which is no small feat but I do agree two flip whips is a little odd.

i thought that Thelander's 3 whip was the steezyist trick from the vid.
  • 3 1
good to see people still into huge skills like szymon. playstation tricks are cool but a mix would be better.

Umm did some one do a double front flip? And ummm that cliffhanger flip? Yup okay just checking.

 yeah wtf everybody go crazy
  • 4 1
Yeah, just normal stuff... or not!!! Crazy level of riding! Really good looking course too despite the simple layout
  • 27 1
Superman over a jump that big is still one of the sickest looking tricks ever
  • 23 2
i think if rheeder or semenuk were in this they may not have won! i think its time these guys are in crankworx yes we love you guys like mcgary and gulivich but there is some insane talent out there that does not get on the big stage of diamond events.
  • 8 1
I completely agree. I got blasted before for saying exactly that. While McGary and Gully will never loose their legend status they should graciously bow out and open spots for these younger riders willing to lay it all out there!

I watched the whole replay and I have to disagree, the format of the competition was pretty cool in that the riders got as many goes as they wanted to perfect their runs but so many crashed first times. The two Bs have big tricks on lock down and and know how to put a run together that flows which is really important in slopestyle. I'm not saying what was done at the contest wasn't impressive just you can't really compare it to crankworx.
  • 2 1
ya but its only three hits its almodt like a best trick ya the b's probably would have won but alot of these guys should be in joyride instead of other guys
  • 3 0
That's true Tom I can't disagree with ya there. But slopestyle is a spectator event and while I never want to see a rider seriously injured, fans go wild watching new guys try to bust crazy tricks even if they do wash or slip a pedal in the process.

If they were good enough to win Crankworxs then they would be winning Crankworxs.

When will Martin be able to ride again?!?!?!! He's the only rider that can compete wit the two Bs...
  • 2 1
Exactly, what's up with that? Should he not be already fit again? I mean that crash where he broke his foot was some time ago, right? Also, all this effort for not even 2 minutes of summary?
  • 3 0
He re-injured himself at City8 a month or two ago...still on crutches.
  • 1 0
Ahhh, so that's why. Thanks for the input! Because I remember him being on crutches at last year's Invitational, so seeing him injured again I was like: "Huh?!".

It was a really good event I thought, much improved from last year.
I'm not that much of a slopestyle insider so it was nice to see some new names compete, and the level of tricks was insane, considering I had never heard/read anything about some of the guys there.

As a side note, this year the whole event was held during Kulturnatten (similar to a an erm...country fair all over town) here in Uppsala, so many people came out to see just what the huge jumps were for and many of them stayed throughout, which was cool to see, especially for the riders themselves I think.
Seeing an elderly woman grin from ear to ear because of the huge cliffhanger backflip made my day, there should be more of that!
I hope there's a similar event next year again, maybe with an added feature to spice it up.

I think that more slopestyle events should have a jump that massive. Really pushes the riders and the skill level.

 It's call Fest series

  • 21 0
 Yeah its dual slalom..

Thelander is looking next level. First contest back, throwing flipwhip to switch flip whip. On that Brett Rheeder level.

I'd like to see an end to these seemingly wheel-size specific events. Why can't BMX riders ride these events, and why aren't MTB riders (whatever an MTB is) riding "Roast it" or "Kill the line"? And why didn't 20" riders ride BMX for the pumptrack challenge at Crankworx, or were they not allowed?
  • 3 0
 You gotta be kidding me
  • 2 0
Pumped for Thelander coming back so strong!!
  • 1 0
 Backflip double pentagon XD
  • 3 2
ok great, now I'll watch the Fest video again.
