Video: Remy Metailler Takes on Rowdy Rock Gardens at Big White Bike Park

by Rémy Métailler

This is the third and last episode of my BC Bike Park Trip. Following Silver Star and Sun Peaks and after a quick wine stop in Kelowna, I take you down some of the trails of the fairly new Bike Park of Big White!

I did not know what to expect at first, but I loved the vibe of the resort and the trails. It flows really well, and the rocks can be intimading but it was a lot of fun to find smooth lines!

Thanks Anthony Evans for guiding me down some of the trails!

Some serious time, effort and money being put into Big White each summer and it's only getting better. Did a ski season there a few years back and really hope to ride there one day too!

Until they have a lot more trails i'll stick to silverstar, but so far they're doing great!

They don't have the full compliment of trails (yet) but SS, Big White and Sunpeaks are so close you can do an awesome week with only a couple hours of driving.

I'm not really into bike parks, but the rickgardens look epic.

Bike parks are awesome. No other way to get in as much riding per day as a lift park. Most of them have plenty of raw techy trails to ride too if your not into the big jump trails.

@cougar797: he didn’t say that he doesn’t know what a bike park is...

@cougar797: it's personal preference. Some people like bike parks and others don't.

@ThunderChunk: There is no preference, only wrong and right. He’s wrong. (Insert internet sarcasm disclaimer here).

@cougar797: well, I have ridden with people in the past who love the climb and hate the down, but they're few and far between and all the rest of us sane riders love bike parks

@plyawn: love the down, but love the sketch.
