He makes those heinous lines look so smooth and easy. It's almost annoying how easy he makes them look!
  • 32 3
And with headset cable routing too!
  • 24 0
@BiNARYBiKE: it's called "cable tourism", not headset cable routing
  • 4 0
@Charlotroy: dang it I had a perfect opportunity and I squandered it. I'll do better.

 MUST WATCH!!!!!!!!

 MUST CABLE ROUTING! oh wait...
  • 2 1
 MUST FEEEEL!!! oh wait.....

Yikes, when it looks steep on film!
  • 6 1
Wish I could be there in person to see those insane lines and him knocking them out like popcorn.
  • 39 2
Remi is a Jedi who uses the force to ride epic lines. May the 4th be with him always.
  • 6 1
The forests here are full of Jedi. Sith too. It’s always been this way.
  • 2 0
May the Forest be with him...always
  • 35 0
false advertising, i rode that propain tyee and couldn't ride any better than i usually do, unbelievable
  • 20 0
No soundtrack is refreshing, feels like you are out there watching.
  • 4 0
Honsetly the sound design was way too much...
  • 3 0
@colincolin: You mean you didn't like hearing a different hub sound fade in and out in the same way on each slow-mo clip?

Thought the video was great, but the fake sounds on those slow-mo clips in particular were a little grating after a while.

the filming on this is SO GOOOOOOD! So many great angles and perspectives on features we've seen many times before.
  • 17 0
 Yaa buddy!
  • 5 0
 Most underrated comment.
  • 25 11
Proof that 99.9% of us don't need downhill bikes
  • 10 4
But he also rides a propain DH bike in the bike park?
  • 30 0
Need and want are two completely different things.
  • 20 0
Totally! Since I'm as skilled as Remi, I can (easily) ride anything in BC on an enduro/AM bike.
  • 21 0
Big difference between me and remy is speed judgement haha. I would like to see how that Tyee holds up vs a DH bike if he cased as many jumps as i do.
  • 3 1
 @schwaaa31: I beg to differ,Want IS need.
  • 6 5
Big bikes hide mistakes. Remy could do this on a hardtail.
  • 10 0
But if you have a DH bike, why beat the sh*t out of your trail/enduro bike when riding big stuff? "N + 1" !
  • 9 0
You dont need a big burly bike to nail everything perfectly... You need it when you fuck shit up to get you a chance at getting out of it alive... I definitely could use one...
  • 2 0
It also depends what you ride. Big jump lines and flow trails are fine on a trail bike, same for some of these big single hits and techy moves (if you dont mess up), but riding fast through unrelenting gnar like what you get at say, Mont-Sainte-Anne, would get pretty damn rough. Even Pros would go for a big bike then, it ends up being a comfort thing (as well as speed).
  • 9 0
I don't ride as well, so I need a bigger margin of error. I don't ride as often, so I need a more compliant ride because I am not strong enough to hold on all day in the park on a smaller bike. I am not sponsored, so I can not afford to ride a bike to death every year because I always push the bike's limits. There are a lot of arguments for going with the bigger bike, even if you do not ride the fest series
  • 1 1
@schwaaa31: needs and wants are the same thing.
  • 13 0
I watch some peoples videos and think "I would or at least might hit that". I don't ever think that watching Remy's videos
  • 11 0
I think that couple seconds of climbing in there I could handle. Maybe.
  • 12 0
At 2:20 if his braking were not perfectly on point he's dead over the cliff
  • 1 0
Best part of the entire edit. Absolutely unreal
  • 1 2
He hits it tight for sure. But if you ride these trails you’re not alone. Hundreds of people smash these lines on the reg.
  • 11 0
No, no, not this one, neither this one, no, wouln't that, no annnnd no. Phew, great video!
  • 10 0
This question is not directed at super uber sick ride master Remi... but why do these guys not wear full face helmets? Is it not cool anymore?
  • 16 0
I think he has commented on it before, might have been in a video? If I remember his opinion was that for this riding the full face made it more difficult to be fully aware of surroundings. I don't know, I have zero authority to comment on this.
  • 15 0
Remy has said before that he feels he can see better and is more used to half-lids. So he just rides what he's comfortable in. Pretty sure it's not a "coolness" thing.
  • 6 0
@pisgahgnar: bingo. He said he can even gauge speed (from the wind on his face) better with a half shell
  • 2 0
That all makes sense. I suppose if he can sense better without the full face that adds a lot of safety... plus it is more fun.
  • 12 0
No amount of money is going to buy me a set of balls that big.
  • 9 1
Best Ford commercial ever. Smile Congrats on the sponsor.
Pretty sick edit, lots of goosebumps. Amazing seeing the style moves on these high consequence bits as seen on YouTube videos of the past.
  • 7 0
 I thought Tacoma's were required???
  • 10 1
So sick, but could use some DL Incognito!
  • 3 1
Hahaha I was just thinking "Sure, no sound track necessary, but some DL would make it even better!"
  • 2 0
A sample and a drum machine and a Tyee.
  • 6 0
I think we need a video where Remi rides a line, then an average Squamish goer rides the same line, just to give the real perspective on how insane this riding is.
  • 1 0
 Here ya go

youtu.be/RyuMqSIsdKY?t=44

youtu.be/l9IFY_4r5cM?t=93

I consider all these youtubers to be well above average riders as well. Turns out it WAS A drop.
  • 1 0
This one for the Gouranga chute... youtu.be/RBc4R7TNlI8

...and that's just the main line
  • 7 0
No WD40 product placement this week, the video was so slick it couldn't handle any more lube. I will show myself out....
  • 1 0
Some would like to point out that WD40 is not intended as a lubricant, but might work well to release things that get stuck. So when you've been watching this on repeat for a while and then need to get you jaw back that got stuck to the floor, it might come handy.
  • 7 0
I always drive with my helmet on too
  • 6 0
I’m always surprised that Remy only wears a half shell lid when riding these challenging lines !
  • 7 0
 massive
  • 2 0
Incredible riding. I don't think I'd have the balls to ride any of those features but I'd like to go there anyway, just to see how much bigger/steeper they are in real life because they look shit scary and nothing ever looks as big/steep on camera as it really is.
  • 6 0
 Best breaking in the business…
  • 30 0
 did something get broken?
  • 4 0
 @FergalK: well done
  • 5 1
Remi is hands down my favorite rider. If there was any rider I would want to emulate... And he just puts out such good content. Learned a lot from his vids and riding.
  • 2 1
 Vinny T for Me
  • 2 0
@likeittacky: yeah...he's right up there for me too
  • 4 0
Can DVO have a better representation?... I mean if he does and proves this level of control and all roundness is it worth it at all to throw the cash on Kashimas and company?
  • 5 0
Nope, but they could have better colors. 99% of the market over 13 doesn't want Monster Energy green components. As an modestly talented dad, I want to be as inconspicuous as possible when I'm struggling to clear a 12' table top.
  • 4 0
@fentoncrackshell: The fork is blk with acid green compression dial. Whats so bad about that? I personally think its one of the best looking forks on the market TBH, + they offer lowers in three different colors as well. Nobody cares if you can 't clean a jump or not or how much flash your fork has. Everybody doesn't have to ride like a pro either; just send it to your comfort zone and let the Colors shine! Paint it blk otherwise.
  • 2 0
If somebody asks me what it means to have control over your bike, I will direct them to this video. Amazing. The raw sound helps to appreciate the precision of scrubbing just the right amount of speed to hit these lines with style and survive.
  • 4 0
Little guy big moves. Precise is an understatement
  • 2 0
Oh to be small enough that the brakes actually can stop you if needed
  • 3 0
Wait, a mtb video of Remy M. without any talk, advise or..."Yeaaah buddy!"?!
Smile
  • 5 0
 that's pretty metal
  • 4 0
Makes me want the new tyee even more
  • 4 0
Got that DVO Sus. dialed in. Remi is a master at his craft.
  • 4 0
MUST WATCH. This was so so great
  • 3 0
I'm sure all those lines are terrifying in real life! Interesting to see he's on an air shock.
  • 2 1
I'm guessing air has more tactile feel than coil when you're creeping around slowly and trying to feel the limits of grip on a slab. With coil, it's harder to tell where you are in the travel.
  • 2 0
I'm not Rem'y so I still need a dh bike. lol It's like saying that, you don't need a long travel bike. The short travel bike is good enough.lol
  • 4 0
Spectacular job on the filming once again @scott_secco killing it!
  • 3 0
Very refreshing to just hear the bike (which is music enough) and no soundtrack. Curious if the bike was mic'ed?
  • 2 0
I might get the balls to skid my way down that rock into an endo while Remy sails a perfect tabletop over my head.
  • 3 0
Anybody else have sweaty hands after watching that? Holy Moly!
  • 2 0
That was hands down AMAZING! Been to Squamish and I can't believe how smooth he makes it look. Love the sound!
  • 2 0
So refreshing to see an edit with some OG and not completely new lines in it.
  • 2 0
Banger! Rémy with the flow and Scott with the show! And next week Rémy is going up those lines on the trial Wink , casually!
  • 4 0
 Surgical
  • 3 0
steeps seem like the hardest thing to capture vantage-wise on film.
  • 3 0
 Total consummate professional.
  • 3 0
Proof 99% of us don't need Tacomas...
  • 2 0
Love the Remy vids, such a good rider. Seeing all the local stuff that I’d get hurt riding is inspiring.
  • 3 0
 Insane. Shredit of the year.
  • 2 0
I can do that on a Propain you say ?!?
  • 1 1
Great video, amazing skills but i think riding so difficult, technical and dangerous trails you must wear a full face helmet and body armor. It is not worth the risk!
  • 1 0
He is definitely not pushing his limit yet, dude didn't even wear a full face helmet for hitting those features
  • 3 0
 Half lid!!!??? Dang.
  • 2 0
“He’s mega” I tell ya! tup
  • 2 0
Heavy on V/C trails! Love the variety. So smooth and precise everytime!
  • 5 1
First rule of VC is you don't talk about VC.
  • 8 0
@valleycliffclavin: should probably think about changing your username then
  • 1 0
 @maxgod: Well played.
  • 3 0
 This is rampage.
  • 2 0
Yeah, Remy would do really well if he were to enter.
  • 1 0
@Jacquers: He was in rampage a few times years ago
  • 2 0
Fresh @Maxxis tires for every feature?
  • 1 0
Likely not needed. He is about 100 lbs lighter then me.
  • 2 0
Well, if we all rode there we'd either get good quick or die trying.
  • 4 0
 friday fails would be stupendous
  • 2 0
Scott and Remy need to work together more often (please!)
So good RAW!
  • 2 0
Who would win in a fight, Remy or God?
  • 1 0
Riding that Maxxis rubber like it's free... oh, wait. Beautiful showcase of some of what Squamish has to offer.
  • 2 0
One of the best videos I've ever seen! Remy is unreal to watch on the bike
  • 2 0
 The steez!!!!
  • 2 0
 No words!!!
  • 2 0
 Must Watch!!
  • 2 0
 Well done!
  • 2 0
 Hell yea, Remy.
  • 2 0
 Remy is a savage.
  • 3 2
Too bad this bike has headset cable routing. It looks incredible
  • 2 0
 Effortless.
  • 2 0
 Wow just wow!
  • 1 0
I spotted a rang extender on his bike...
