REVEL IN THE CHAOS
A NEW FILM BY
BRANDON SEMENUK & RUPERT WALKER

It's there. The urge to dominate, to subjugate, maybe even to kill. It's locked off in a shadowy corner of the psyche - uncouth and closely guarded - traits that could make you a monster: or a champion. Revel In The Chaos is a new film bent on taking Brandon Semenuk's riding to the next level. Directed by Rupert Walker and showcasing a bold new visual style, the movie will push the boundaries of what is possible on two wheels. Expect it. August 2015.

bigquotesRevel in the Chaos started with the simple motive of creating something that was purely ours. This is nothing more then a passion project to me. It's exciting for myself to create something fresh with a great mind like Rupert Walker.

bigquotesCreatively, this is a project that pushes the boundaries of what's considered acceptable in mountain bike filmmaking. Every day we see mountain bike videos that are exactly the same, made with the same filmmaking formula, it's hard to tell one video from the next. ''Revel In The Chaos'' is that crack in the pavement. It's a different way of thinking about riding and showcasing it.

its like it grabs your dick in your pants, and then walks away... doesn't even stroke.
  • 8 2
Just put Semenuk's name in it, and you've got yourself a better teaser than anything else.
  • 104 8
It better have a fat bike packing enduro mission in it.
  • 58 9
I won't watch it unless it has 27.5+ wheels.

he better ride something other than a session or a ticket.
  • 28 0
other than a session or a ticket, you really wanna watch some pedaling?
  • 38 2
God I hate watching people pedal.
  • 7 0
Would you say that you'd like to see some enduroing too?
  • 14 1
Better have some thing other then those 2 bikes. The 2 bikes that influence his career the most ? Btw pretty sure semenuk won a XC series in bc when he was younger. So he can really ride anything

Just hoping this film isn't as over hyped as Rad Company was as well as the tag line "All thriller and no filler" is not thrown about. Love your riding Brandon, just not the hype.
  • 5 4
Rad company had awesome ridinng, but way too much slow mo
  • 6 4
Rad company was great. Not as great as "Where the Trail ends" for me, but big mountain riding is what I find more fascinating over Dirt jumping scenes but Rad Company was very well done. The trail riding was awesome and I did like the Junk yard scene a lot.

Amen! rad company was an over hyped piece of garbage....well maybe that's unfair but it was definitely overhyped. (I'm definitely not bad mouthing the riding...)
  • 16 1
Hype by definition is a trick, to be swindled...We see it more of a hard working kid, progressing a genre of bike riding, documenting it through imagery, talking about it, sponsors talking about it, enjoying the finished product. Always proud of this kid, he makes our brand better, and through him we get to dream a little more. Right on Brandon!
  • 3 0
Excellent response @troyleedesigns. Most of these people shitting on Brandon should be ashamed of themselves. I am glad his sponsors recognize him for the humble talent he is. This sport is growing and Brandon is one of those guy's responsible for the success of that.
  • 3 0
Can't agree more with the original comment. The write up here sounds like they are going to change the world! RAD Company was great and all but nothing beats the days of seeing the latest NWD come out... maybe I'm just getting old Smile
  • 4 0
I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I watched all 3 seasons of LBB, and the trailer like 10 times and was still left with my jaw on the floor at the end of Rad Company.
  • 5 0
Whilst I enjoy Brandon's riding very much and watching him push the sport along for me there was something very much a miss in Rad Company. I felt like I'd seen it all with the teasers and it felt like the editing was off in putting it all together. I've never fallen asleep during a mountain bike movie before.

I understand that from a promotional and sponsorship point of view @troyleedesigns that it is a necessary evil and a realistic thing in the commercial world that teasers etc need to be put out to garner interest but at the same time there needs to be a balance of just how much of the ACTUAL movie is shown.

Movies such as Life Cycles or the Earthed series had a base feeling to them which was portrayed throughout. In that I mean that Life Cycles was definitely a movie pushed into the art side of filming to tell the story of biking and the Earthed series tended to focus more on the raw and full on side of the DH lifestyle. All excellent films which I think had a base feeling and stuck to it all the way through. Rad Company didn't seem to have this and as such when put together just felt like a bunch of individual edits put together to make a movie.

This probably explains my point a bit better.
  • 1 0
Agree, not a criticism of one individual or another but the problems are 1) Massive over-hyping and 2) Keeping a running theme or some true soul to a video. It is sad but nowadays we are over-exposed to big tricks or lines so it takes a bit of thought to make something engaging.

With that car you will have the sickest world premiere for shure.

Loved Rad Company. Personally I hope it doesn't go too far in the direction of Life Cycles, which in my opinion was a bore and was really an art film that happened to have some riding in it. The letdown on that one could have been that it was hyped for a couple of years though.
  • 7 1
Those of you complaining about Rad Company and Semenuk will be the first bitches in line to buy this movie. Bunch of whiners in this thread.
  • 2 1
no doubt, can't wait to see it ... semenuk and the boys make cool vids.

Awesome and stoked to see Brandon's new film. What I do not understand is the timing of new film releases..... Release date August??? I would love to see this, and many releases, early in the season to drive the stoke we all have to ride.
  • 1 0
Well they are prolly still filming it.
  • 2 0
Crankworx is in August and they will probably premier it there. That's the reason I can think of for the release date.

this video they did together for redbull Raw 100 is kind of a teaser:

I hope this film has WAY LESS SLOW-MO than Rad Company!!!!!!!!

a smooth rider with a creative directer makes a perfect film.can’t wait to see
  • 4 3
How is a video going to push his riding to the next level? I'm all for Kodak courage.. but I doubt the fact that someone has a camera nearby is going to make him land a 9 or triple whip.
  • 6 1
I respectfully reject that position. Even at my shitty level I find a camera brings out the best. If I have my gopro on I'll ride 10% harder. Assuming pros are the same 10% more for Semenuk is mind blowing for us mortals.
  • 4 0
Like I said, I'm all for Kodak courage. I just think that for a filmographer to claim their film pushes semenuk to the 'next level', they're grossly overstating their role in his riding ability.
  • 2 1
You doubt wrong. The cam does those things. In the hands of an experienced photographer that is known for knowing what they're doing, it's a powerful booster. It's not really the photographer, but the photography that affects the state of mind. Everyone wants others to see the cool shit they do. If a rider like Sem has chosen a photographer, then there's a reason for that. Great things are about to happen & they may be greater because he's got the guy he wants.

Think I'm on the wrong website , just googled semen uk , and followed the link ...thought it was a porno

Rad company was totally rad, and these bigger produced mtb movies are always a great watch. From what I here about revel in the chaos, I think it deserves some special showing or something on the big screen
