Matt Rae and myself knew that today would be one of the last days to ride downhill this season. In Canada, the ski hills are getting ready to make some pow(maybe in BC), and the ground is beginning to freeze and turn into concrete. That is why we opted to hit the trails at 8 AM, and make the best of our last day of DH.
After some much needed Timmy's we were at Kelso. Not surprisingly, we were the only two there and got to enjoy every frosty trail to ourselves.
As soon as the sun peaked over the hill, it was warm, and perfect temperature for shredding. We had got into pace and were pumping out laps like no tomorrow.
We had no idea why we were the only two on the trails. On a day like this, everyone should have been out and shredding!
The trails were tacky, the sun was shining, and the hikers were staying off our trails.
What more could you ask for, besides a lift or shuttle?
We were exhausted after 6 hours of hike-a-bike, and decided to call it a day. We were stoked on the perfect weather and riding today, because it just may have been our last DH ride of the season.
Lemme know when you're doing a first ride of the season ride... theoretically, my bike should be complete by then haha
