Interview: Martin Maes - "I'm Not Guilty... I Just Made a Stupid Mistake"
Out of range of the internet? WTF? In the post Armstrong world of testing athletes for drug use why don’t each and every rider carry a list of prohibited substances in a file on their phone?

Interview: Martin Maes - "I'm Not Guilty... I Just Made a Stupid Mistake"
I get tired if the, “I didn’t do anything wrong. All I did was make a mistake” excuse. He may not have done it intentionally, but he still did it. We wouldn’t excuse him if he accidentally cut some corners on a race course. I don’t see any reason to excuse the use of banned substances just because it was done accidentally. The good news is that he kept the leg and can race later in the year.

Interview: Jared Graves Comments on Failed Drug Test
What is the difference between "accidentally" using a banned substance, and accidentally cutting the course, or accidentally using a motor?

Frostbike 2018: New Tires, Shoes, and Sealant
I found a great sealant. It is called Tubes. Put one in each tire. Weighs about the same as slime, Don't need a compressor to mount. Doesn't go dry. Doesn't freeze in the cold. Pressure can be topped up with a simple hand pump. Great product.

Carbon Conundrum - Pole Bicycles Ditch Their Plastic Project
Recyclable is not the same as recycled. I used to think I was lucky if an aluminum frame lasted 3 years before it turned into a noodle. Then I bought a carbon frame mtb. It has goon through a lot of components, but the frame rides like new 23 years later. My second carbon bike is now 6 years old with no deterioration. The best form of recycling is something that never wears out. I'm good with carbon.

Pinkbike Poll: Is It Still a Mountain Bike If It Has a Motor?
I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would buy such an underpowered motorcycle. Motorcycles are fun. A great way to get out. They also work for the injured and the unfit. I positively love the big Ducatis. I also love bicycles. Both road and mtb. But don't pretend a motorcycle is a bicycle just because it has a wimpy motor.
