Ladies Bike Festival Announces Details for Sedona Event This Fall

Roam Bike Fest - a three day weekend of epic lady shred - returns to Sedona, Arizona October 26-28, 2018. The event, the third women's-only mountain bike festival put on by the team at Roam Events, includes bike demos, workshops, shuttles, group rides, apparel vendors, a tasty Saturday night dinner, dance party, and campfire kumbaya. Participants might feel like they are part of a shenanigan-filled adult summer camp.



Registration, now open, offers participants a three-day or two-day festival pass that allows access to all festival activities - including a mega raffle and technical clinics hosted by SRAM. The festival, capped at 250 participants to keep things intimate, has always sold out, and organizers are encouraging ladies to register early. Offsite event camping is also available to festival participants at nearby Chavez Crossing campground.


Roam Bike Fest has hosted riders from all over the country in addition to shredders from Germany, England, and Canada. The majority of riders are intermediate to expert, but beginners up for a challenge have had a great time in Sedona. Participants, typically ranging in age from 21-60, have joined the festival in groups, and a surprising number of ladies have come to the event solo.



"We're here to shred." says Festival Director Ash Bocast, "There's always a few ladies who don't get the memo that our main objective is to ride until our legs stop working...that is to say, we don't host skills clinics during the event. We offer plenty of learning opportunities with workshops covering subjects like bike mechanics, adventure cycling, industry jobs, and technical apparel...but again, the focus is for ladies to ride, try sexy new bikes, drink, dance, and have a ridiculously good time."
