Pinkbike Poll: What's Your Favorite MTB Suspension Design?
My favorite look is the new vpps with the current shock at the bottom of the frame. But a bike is more than looks. It is the sum of it's part. I am looking forward for a new 5010 with the shock in the bottom. Just for looks. I tested a couple bikes last year and my favorite suspension platform and fit of the bike was the Ibis Ripley. To bad my legs are to shorts for 29rs. Finger crossed for a 27.5 or mullet version of the Ripley. I rode Mojo but I didnt like the feel. It felt different, not just the tire size.

Medium Santa Cruz 5010 AL R AM White

$1800 USD
Medium Santa Cruz 5010 AL R AM White Bike is selling with two fork options: • Fork Fox 32 Float CTD 130 mm , original fork ($1800.00) or Fox 34 Float Fit 4 Factory 2017 140 mm ($2400.00) The bike is stock build with the R AM Build UPGRADED fork, handlebars, and post. The main item that has been upgraded is the fork(With upgraded for the bike is selling for $2400). For me, the most important element of a modern mountain bike is a great suspension. It gives more control when the trail gets rough. I did not feel the need to upgrade the drivetrain as I was not having any issues with. Actually, the bike comes with 3x10 so you will never run out of gears. You can descend as fast as you want and go up without having to push the bike uphill. Super fun bike. It loves to flow and get some air. It is like a slalom bike that loves to climb. Pinkbike's take: “The 5010 epitomizes the definition of a "trail bike." It's playful and light, but with enough brawn to remain composed even when faced with menacing terrain that would push other trail bikes out of their comfort zones. A stouter fork would be on our wish list, but the rest of the build is well matched to the bike's intentions. And although we tested one of the top tier models of this bike, Santa Cruz offers a build kit for nearly every budget, letting customers select a bike that best suits their needs (and bank account). If we were heading out on a multi-hour (or day) backcountry mission the 5010 would be on our short list of bikes we'd bring along for the ride, since its trail manners place it solidly into the upper echelon of exceptional mountain bikes.” - Mike Kazimer Normal maintained and wear components have been replaced. Suspensions have been serviced by Fox Racing Shox in the adequate intervals. The bike has normal wear scratches and some chain slaps on the rear frame.
