Review: 6 Months on SDG's New Tellis Dropper Post
Except the Manic orients the cable opposite to this SDG. The SDG is easier setup wise, but the reverse orientation allows me to run my preferred hacked XT front shifter

Review: 6 Months on SDG's New Tellis Dropper Post
This post sounds very similar in most/all aspects to the X Fusion Manic. Budget price, reliable performance, cheap and easy cartridge swap, very light lever action, and a little longer length than average for a given drop.

XT 165mm 68/73mm bb crankset with 30t NW almost new

$175 CAD
I've been holding onto these super rare XT 165mm cranks, but I don't actually have a bike to put them on. Great for bikes with low bb's, as these are lightweight and stiff. Bombproof Shimano Hollowtech II interface that is easy to use and service They are in almost new condition. Look at the 'tips' of the cranks to see how pristine they are. No foot rub on the arms. A couple of very minor nicks here and there from being moved around in storage over the past few years, the axle is a little bit greasy but this is as close to new as a set of pre-owned cranks can be. Includes brand new steel 30t SRAM narrow wide ring, this will last at least 3-4x longer than your typical aluminum chain ring. 24mm axle with 68/73mm bb shell spacing

Tenneco Inc. Buys Öhlins Racing
Tenneco getting lots of hate for ruining Marzocchi; as I recall some of the best and most reliable Marzocchi products were ushered in under Tenneco ownership. The RC3ti lines were coil sprung well damped (for the time) and competitive weight wise compared to the competition pushing air springs hard and working with dampers that were not overly reliable. It's too bad their good forks didn't get a nice cut of the OEM pie. I feel 2007-2012 was a weird transitional time for MTB, the awkward teenager working through puberty if you will.. There were some nice innovations and advancements though unreliable for the time, were a necessary stepping stone to get us to where we are today where even mid-range gear is very good in most cases. And our sport is all about incremental changes, nothing outwardly radical is given a chance to succeed typically. The last year or 3 though where the general advancement has slowed down some, we see some fringe companies doing radically different things and people are generally more open to these, if they are indeed functional ideas

Cotic Launches SolarisMAX Steel 29er Hardtail
@cotic-bikes: this is my setup of choice for the past couple of years on my hardtail. Best of all worlds IMO for an aggressive hardtail that needs to be pedaled up technical terrain still
