Les Gets, France was our favorite place of the trip. The Portes Du Soleil region is incredible, and with one reasonably priced day pass you can ride about 1030240 lifts. And to top it off, the Crankworx race was pretty damn sweet too. An epic track with epic views really capped off an amazing trip. Enjoy episode five of Rooted!
The view of Mont-Blanc made the best start gate view imaginable.
A sideways Wiley is a happy Wiley.
Austin trying to keep up in the Whip-off.
Wiley's 89th place finish left him hungry to improve in Val Di Sole.
Armen sprinting into 56th.
69th for Austin in finals. Entertained but not satisfied.
Harrison ended up 101st in the Les Gets DH and 38th in the Mont-Chery DH.
When Isak Leivsson isn't watching excavator videos or or being stoked on his Walmart pants, he is probably doing bigger whips than you.
Brian Cahal flew out from California and had a busy week of riding and heading right back up the hill to film.
Hope you enjoy. We had a lot of fun and we can't wait to figure out how to do it again.
Shawn and Tanner are pretty much spot on.. But yeah, work a bunch all winter, save up as much as possible, get as much sponsor support as we can and split the costs of travel with a bunch of friends. We crammed 6 people in the van for Europe and got affordable Airbnb's so it really didn't turn out too bad. Also, blowing out the credit cards and dealing with it later is another way we run it.
Hey man. Sorry I made you feel that way. I was just pretty bummed on my result and I was trying to remind myself that the cool parts of racing are getting to go get rad with your friends in new places rather than just getting a low number next to your name on a results page. I still hope you keep watching our videos and you're more stoked on the next one!
@wileyk: if you weren’t bummed about your result then it means you didn’t care and then what was even the point? I thought it was an honest moment expressing what happens to so many fast Americans who go race in Europe and get smoked
