Squamish must be the center of the mtb universe. Stay home and ride trails, drive south less than an hour to ride the shore or drive north less than an hour to whistler. This is where its at.

 Yes it is

 * with the borders of scotland not far behind- 8 trail centres and a world cup - level DH venue (not to mention a vast network of unmarked natural trails) all within 2 hours drive of each other...
also, a fantastic video. i want to go to canada now!

I think you'll find Whistler is a far more accurate 'centre'. The bike park is there for starters, then you have Pemberton to the north and Squamish to the south, both within 30min drive. A little further south is the Shore. Whistler is cliché and crowded, but realistically, it's the centre.

Well seeing as I live in the region, I think it's a fair thing to claim at my end.

And then about an hour south of the shore you got Bellingham which is mighty fine as well if i do say so myself

Fun trail, but why so wide? Looks wider than a sidewalk.

Your eyes do not deceive you! There's a reason why it is fun- for everyone- and the design has a lot to do with thatWink

5 feet wide is the width of the 303ccr excavator that was used.
