This past weekend was my first time up to Burke, VT since my spinal cord injury almost 2 years ago. It has been a long journey towards recovery, but every bit of energy spent towards getting better made this ride possible. I am proud of this moment and beyond lucky to have a support network that enables me to do what I love most - ride bikes.

THE RIG! Santa Cruz V-10. Fox Factory front/rear. I9 Grade 300. Maxxis DHF/DHR. Renthal cockpit. Shimano Zee brakes, Shimano XTR drivetrain. Paradox Kinetics electric motor. Tessier sit ski bucket seat.

Trying to explain to Ella that E-Bikes are actually cool...

This weekends ride was possible because of this crew! It doesn't get any better than just being on the mountain with good people...man have I missed it!

Mounted up and clipped in, making our way to Lower J-Bar. You ready for this Doug?! Let's GO!

It's hard to describe what time moment feels like. Nothing else in the world matters.

Perfect eBike scenario. You able bodied fools take note.

Not really anyone can ride an ebike, there's no perfect scenario. It's like your're saying ahh it's OK he's disabled he's allowed to ride an ebike. There's loads of reason why someone would ride an ebike

@enduroNZ: There may be loads of reasons but being disabled is the only truly valid one... Wink

For those of you who don't know who Doug Henry is, he is a Moto Legend. First rider to win a SX and outdoor title on a 4-Stroke, multiple SX & Outdoor titles as well as Supermoto title. AMA Hall of Fame.

Look up his crash at Budds Creek / Henry Hill where he breaks his back and comes back a year later to win that race and the outdoor title. Guy is an animal.

Met Doug in 2001 at Mt. Snow (He was sponsored by Avalanche Downhill Racing back then), great guy and a blast to watch him ride. He looked perfectly at home tearing that hill a new arse.

Love this! Ryan, I bought your old Stumpy frame from you a few years ago. When I read about your accident and recognized your name, I got super bummed for you. But seeing this makes me happy!! Glad you're back out on the trails!

We saw your rig (both van and bike) several times this past weekend. I hope you got out on the trails the other days, as it looks like the riding footage is mainly from Sunday based on the rain. Super stoked to watch your video, and hope you continue to push to get out there! As others have said, this is the type of e biking I can support.
Will Kingdom grant you an exception, or do the trails not interest you?

I’m interested in riding everything! With permission...

Now that motor is what Martin Ashton's bike needs when he rides! He had almost exactly the same setup with a V10 with a Bucketseat, but tucked and strapped in legs.

Not wanting to be douche but he's not ridden a v10. First bucket bike was a geometron with no motor then his current is a canyon with a motor. Either way this is just as awesome to see as Ashton getting back out!

Heck ya man, front page! Awesome job. Only a few people bring the MTB community together, and you have in the northeast, and I know you'll continue to as well!

Often wonder why adaptive riders bother with cranks, wouldn't pegs, with flat pedasl be better, to lower COG?
